The idea that you have to be close or loyal to family just because they’re family? I don’t buy it. My family—especially my mother—has been abusive and manipulative. People always say, “But it’s your mom, you only get one!” And I say, if they don’t act like family, I don’t owe them that title. Family is about love and respect, not just blood.
It gives you dopamine you get from sex but without the bonding .. this slowly makes you snti social because you can easily get the supply without going through the hassle of a partner
It isolates you , put unrealistic expectations on your partner, normalises abusive sex, causes impotency among healthy men because real women cannot match the porn stars
Religion. At best it can be a personal comfort but that is increasingly rare. Today, it’s a cudgel used by its adherents to achieve political gains both local (Texas), national (USA), and international (the entire Middle East).
Not sleeping enough/adjusting our sleep schedules to our body’s needs. Not our faults for the most part.
After puberty our body shifts to sleeping 2 hours later than we used to (about 9pm to about 11pm) but we were still expected to get to school around 7:30am. It’s all been downhill from there.
Misogyny and racism. “Boys will be boys” and “such is life” and “just ignore it, they’ll stop one day” statements prove that no one is even trying to change it. No, instead, we embrace it (see current administration grifters, et al).
Uploading constant photos and heaps of info about kids on the internet. Just from scrolling through someone’s Facebook, you could tell their child’s DOB, where they live, parents names, school they attend etc… it’s so unsafe
Blind Obedience ,Why Normalized Respecting elders (well it is good and ethical) following orders without question is ingrained in many cultures, including ours . I think it can lead to unethical decisions or silence dissent, stifling critical thinking . When we ask they should have proper answer and not just shut up beta jesa kha vesa karo
Not using Cruise Control while highway driving. I just want to set it and forget it. The guy ahead of me is going 100 km/h? Cool, I’ll just set my CC to 100. Oh now he’s going 90… Alright I’ll slow down to 90… Now he’s going 85. FUCK!
Honestly, the amount of mistreatment I see people endure in relationships (both romantic and platonic) is wild. My bf and I often talk about how confusing it is to encounter couples who seem to legitimately hate each other, even openly.
Like, why. Why are you going to choose to spend the majority of your time with someone, friend or partner, who you genuinely detest? I’d rather be lonely ffs.

First thing that comes to my mind? Cigarettes and alcohol.
Watching porn. I totally get why people do it but I feel it’s had way more negative impact than positive
Opening up your marriage
Fast food every day. An American staple in Hell.
Hating everything because that actually means depression.

The amount of neck pain we will all be in a few years is going to be horrible
So many people spent all day with their nexks down looking at their phones.
A buddy is a professional photographer who has a fucked up neck from looking down into old-school cameras. Constant pain & surgeries
The amount of time he looked down into that camera is tiny compared to how much people look down today
Young guys with backs and necks that look like Mr. Burns

Shooting people when other people felt you didn’t have the legal ability to do so. They literally ran up on me with a hammer…wtf I’m supposed to do?

The normalization of Nazi’s in America.
Feeding bread to ducks! They can’t eat it! Give them peas instead!
Consuming too much sugar. Especially for kids.
Sex workers bragging/constant posting on social media trying to glamorise the industry.
OF women pretending that they can’t get a boyfriend, ridiculous videos with filters/strap on boobs etc and men always falling for it.

Tailgating while driving
We just accept multi car pileups as an inevitable concequence of one person braking hard when it’s an easily avoidable problem
Ppl on about their mental health “”medicine””. Ur medicine 😭😭
Sometimes it’s alright. Other times U need a grip
Very cringe and pretentious
Clinical depression ☹️ that’s pretentious my love
Working nonstop without breaks—often praised, but terrible for mental and physical health
people arguing their beliefs without making any attempt to win the person over … it has the opposite effect
One I can think of is exploiting children on social media.
Spending all their time on social media.
The current climate.
People driving slowly in the left lane. It’s pretty much the law everywhere that you stay right unless you are passing.
Another thing is placing unrealistic expectations on others and then getting angry when they can’t meet them.
Loosing your virginity too young
Everything currently coming out of the White House, Congress, and the courts.
being fat
Also people like Elon Musk should stay out of politics.

Tanning. It’s literally your skin cells in trauma and a fast track to cancer but is glamourised so much

That’s not okay.
Enabling homeless people by giving them your food and money under the guise of “I’m a nice person and want to help the unfortunate”.
Thankfully a lot of people are wising up to this, but spanking your kids.
That shit isn’t allowed on dogs. So people are allowed to treat kids worse than dogs?
Releasing balloons in the air for remembrances or celebrations
Thinking both sides are the same
Working non-stop like it’s a badge of honor. Hustle culture makes burnout look productive, and that’s wild when you think about it.
Alcohol

Not getting enough sleep – especially since lots of people romanticise the late night study grind on social media now.
Drinking alcohol on a regular basis
