I’ve caught several students copying during quizzes or turning in identical assignments. They don’t even bother hiding it. I’ve spoken to them, involved parents, even adjusted the assessment formats. Nothing’s changed. Is there a way to curb cheating that actually works?
What do you do when students blatantly cheat and just don’t seem to care if they get caught?

give them both a 0 for the assignment. that will teach either the person cheating or the one allowing their work to be copied to not continue the behavior.
You give them the lowest grade possible and make sure they can never correct it unless they actually study for it.
Basically, you just do your job, you know?
