I (27 M) have been talking to this girl (27 F) for 3 weeks. We text everyday and throughout the whole day. We go on dates and hangout occasionally. I think it is going great so far. Today we were talking and she said she was gonna be busy at work. She has this important task she needs to complete by the end of the day. While we were talking she texted me “(My name) love you but i wont be able to text you until later”. What does this mean? does that mean she loves me as a friend? Someone she talks to? or was she just being nice? Im confused because I think “Love you” is something you say to a friend not someone you would have a crush on? That message left me really confused. I would ask her what she meant but i dont want things to be awkward between us over this minor text. I think i am just overthinking but i need to see what you all think. Thank you!

I think she’s politely telling you to leave her alone and let her get her work done. I’d take it as a positive sign that things are headed the right direction. Just don’t suffocate her and let the relationship evolve naturally. She will think more of you if you respect her boundaries and let her focus on work today.
