Both sound terrifying in their own way. Just imagine the silence and the feeling of being completely alone. Which one gives you the creeps more?
What feels scarier to you.floating alone in space or standing at the bottom of the ocean?

The ocean. All those deep sea creatures would definitely eek me out.
Space would be awesome, get to see the Earth from space would be a pretty beautiful sight before I died. Dying in the ocean though would be worse because you would die in complete darkness, it would be cold, and stuff would probably bump into you that you couldn’t see.
Does the idea of being alone/isolated make you feel uncomfortable, OP?
Aside from the obvious perils inherent in either scenario, both options actually sound quite peaceful.
In space, I would be alone with my thoughts and observing the known universe. At the bottom of the ocean you have an endless amount of sea life to keep you entertained.
Depends on how long I’m stuck there.
If were talking eternity then I’d rather be at the bottom of the ocean. The pitch black would suck but I’d still be able to hear things and feel the floor and maybe interact with deep sea creatures. There’s be some stimulus. (assuming we’re not talking about the bottom of the Mariana trench or something).
If were talking a few years at most I’d rather space. It would be lonely but at least I could see the stars peacefully drift by (assuming I’m not spinning rapidly)
Assuming I’m unaffected by the environment, it’d be bottom of the ocean. Most likely, I’m in total darkness.
Space. There’s no way to end it and statistically it’s much more likely you’ll have to endure it for a long time before something kills you.
Both would kill you rather quickly. Unless the bottom of the ocean you’re talking about is only a few feet offshore.
Fortunately for you, it’s fairly difficult to access both of those places. If you really want to go deep into the ocean then you need some very expensive equipment. And if you want to leave Earth’s atmosphere, then you need some astronomically expensive equipment.

Ocean only cuz it’s probably dark af and space has stars to light the way into eternity babyyyy
Yeah there’s a lot of factors here.
Is the pressure of the ocean crushing me? Or am I popsicle?
Is there a timer?
Idk, space seems pretty peaceful. The ocean is … really rather chaotic. I’d probably get tired of getting tossed around like a rag doll at the bottom of the ocean. Versus eventually just drifting into a star or getting swatted by an asteroid and it being over.
Floating in space all alone for sure! Hopefully, some random creature will come along in the ocean’s depths to keep me company.
Men don’t get scared.
Guys, a few upvotes wouldn’t hurt🥹
We are all so very small in the end.
Bottom of the Ocean. Floating in space sounds like it would be peaceful until I pass away. I’ve seen some of those deep see creatures, and don’t wanna know what’s even deeper. So pass
Assuming you can’t drown or suffocate? Space. The ocean would be terrifying and dark but I think there aren’t many creatures that can withstand the pressure that deep (assuming that you even can, of course). Plus if you can take the pressure then why couldn’t you – eventually – make it back to the surface? You can rest assured that, while vast, the ocean is ultimately finite.
Space is virtually infinite. Imagine floating away from the solar system and getting lost, disoriented with no sense of direction to sort of anchor your perception of geography in the universe. This is what makes me think that immortality would be a terrible fate, more than any other reason. The Earth, Sun, and the solar system will be gone eventually, so true immortality eventually means suffocating alone in a vacuum for eternity, with no means to pass time, no ability actualize yourself other than an awareness that you want to scream for help but cannot breathe.
Bottom of the ocean but both of those are terrifying
I’d be death either way so ehh
