Friend of a friend of a friend or something, made me giggle.
I was working “happily” and then bang on 9am I got kicked out of system completely and couldn’t log back in. Nobody could get me on and I was told I’d get a call at some point from our IT department, the call never came.
Council said my council tax was going up 9%. Had a good chuckle at that. I’ll wait for the proper email to come in tomorrow
Shpongle (ambient trance/techno producer) always has some great ones. This year it’s that he’s replacing himself with an AI on his upcoming tour. A few years ago he said he was making a jingle for Pfizer to help make ends meet – he has a lot of fans on the outer reaches of society so as you can imagine the comments section went into meltdown…
Seeing a news story that Mayor of London ok-ed a 50ft statue of himself in Greenwich. I love to see the gammon’s turn extra red.
I work for Royal mail and they told us they will be totally changing the way we work and if the new changes don’t work then Royal Mail is “finished” and will just so happen to be split apart, so soon after being taken over by a Czech billionaire with historic links to Russia. Oh and the new way of working is very obviously designed to fail.

My husband follows a DJ website and they did one about a course teaching pets to DJ. I particularly enjoyed their use of the phrase “barks per minute”
There was a decent one doing the rounds in the LEGO communities, that sets would now be released with left handed instructions… Raised a smile at least!
Haven’t really seen any good ones. My best attempt was on a Countdown group I moderate on Facebook on which I set a numbers puzzle every morning. Today’s was impossible. They were furious.

I do Worldle every morning and today it’s some country I managed to narrow down as being to the left of Greece. Did my head in trying to work out what this clearly non-existent country is. It’s >!the Roman Empire!<
My 6-year old put a fake spider on her mum’s keyboard early this morning, but on her way out of her home office she managed to close the door in such a way that it locked. But it’s not a door we’ve ever had a key for.
So after the school run she couldn’t get to her laptop or work stuff and had a meeting coming up. I laughed a lot as I dismantled the lock to get her back in.
And then a few seconds later laughed even harder at the SCREAM when her hand brushed the fake spider.
Yorkshire Tea advertising a pouch of microwaveable tea. I nearly vomited, realised the date, had a chuckle at the visceral response I had. Fair play to them.
