Wash your brushes with dish soap. You don’t need some fancy cleaner. It gets all the oils and makeup off really easily. For my beauty blender I just clean it off with whatever hand soap I have laying around by the sink, fuck it.
Also you can literally use any brush for anything. Eyeshadow blender brush? Maybe you want to use it for highlighter or a precise contour instead. Foundation brush? Maybe you want to use it for your face powder instead. Or that little concealer brush might work amazingly to pat on glitter shadows. Whatever works.
Oh, and if you don’t have a beauty blender for your foundation, fingers work just as well if not better. Then after you’re done with applying the foundation and concealer with your fingers, gently blotting the excess off with a Kleenex before powdering makes it last all day. Also its far easier to work with your hands and far cleaner than anything else. You can easily wash your hands and make sure they are clean, your beauty blender never gets 100% clean ever.
Then with powder, never swipe, always lightly dab/tap it on your face. It lasts way longer and doesn’t tamper with your foundation/concealer.
One more; if you ever get a glob of mascara on your skin don’t wipe it off immediately. Wait until it dries and then go in with a dry clean qtip and just gently wipe it off. It doesn’t smear everywhere and only collects the dried mascara.
Using white or nude eyeliner on my lower waterline—instantly makes me look more awake, even if I barely slept. Also, applying concealer after foundation saves so much product and blends way better…
I’m Asian and look younger than I really am. I’m invested in being treated like a professional at work.
Dark eye liner and contouring help me look older. Combined with glasses, wearing my hair up, and certain dress styles, that usually does the trick.
Doesn’t always, though. I met with one new client recently who asked me if it was take your kids to work day, and when the real client manager would show up to the meeting. :/
Wearing eyeshadow primer on my lids and eyebrows. I don’t ever put foundation or concealer on them like I see some tutorials do. Keeps the shadows and liners in place and no creasing. I use the Wet N Wild brand. Cheap and effective.
Only wearing what actually looks good on me not necessarily what’s trendy or what the makeup police pressure everyone to do or not do and following my color season and contrast level first and foremost
Putting my mascara under my arm or thigh or between my boobs to heat it up when I begin to do my makeup so by the time I get to that step it’s warm from the body heat and it goes on so much better and makes my lashes look so much nicer
Curling my eyelashes upside down. Like I hold the curler upside down and curl once near the base and once in the middle. I just get such a better curl that lasts so much longer and opens my eyes up somehow in a much more vibrant way
Put the bulk of your mascara at the roots and only swipe up on the last coat (or two). Gives that full lash look without looking like a spider died on your eyes.
Also, I get the best tiny wing if I add it after mascara and follow the line of my corner lashes. I suck at wings otherwise
Not sure if it counts as makeup, per se, but when using pastel or light nail colors, I put a coat of white down as primer. Don’t need to use as many coats and it shows much brighter when done.
Switch to tinted serum for foundation in the summers. When you’re hot and sweaty in the humidity it’s less of a mess and your skin can breathe a bit better. It’s not as opaque as typical full coverage foundation, but it still blends really well and gives great coverage. I typically do my eyes first so I don’t have dark circles or shadow underneath my eyes messing with my complexion. There’s a difference between doing your eyes first, then foundation verses foundation and then eyes.
I put both my mascara and the eyelash curler in my bra to warm them up while I continue getting ready. I never get clumpy mascara and the curler works beautifully.
After applying foundation and concealor, I sometimes will put my face in front of a fan for a few minutes for it to set properly, and then ill use my finger and dab away any creases under my eye and on my eyelid
There are so many benefits: everybody is used to my natural face, especially me, and it means when I do wear makeup, I always have the opportunity to “wow” and I never feel obligated to wear it. Not to mention my skin is clear and healthy and my eyelashes are thick and long and I truly believe it’s hugely related to the fact that I don’t wear makeup more than 2-4 times a month.
I used to have oily skin that I would think I had to wash often. I started using oils to moisturize and it made my skin less oily and I have a great complexion now.
If you are oily and concealer tends to crease, press a thin layer of setting powder under your eyes and then apply concealer. You use less concealer, it applies much more evenly, and it doesn’t budge.

Always tap concealer with my small finger. I like to wipe mascara brush with toilet paper so my lashes won’t be clumpy.
Setting your brows with gel keeps them in place all day
Not mine, but my friend said a woman’s perfect lipstick color is the color of her nipples.

Take time on that base! Starting with a good canvas can really change the entire look
Less is more
Less is more always
Lip balm + eyeshadow = diy glossy tint 💄
That tiktok hack of putting really minimal powder, using setting spray, and then using a primer on top for a flawless base.

I do my eyeliner with brown eyeshadow and brush, looks super soft and natural, like “I just woke up like this” 🫠
Sunscreen is a great primer – I like cicapear products.
Dermaplaning
PLENTY of moisturizer
Setting spray instead of powder (maybe more for the 35 and up crowd on that last one)
You really do only need one true red shade for you to look stunning.
Skincare first. SKINCARE FIRST

On the back of your hand, mix a little eyeshadow in with some vaseline for glossy eyelids.

Blink onto the mascara wand. It applies while pushing them up to curl naturally

Liquid lipstick in the outer corners of my eyes so my eyes tearing up won‘t mess with my eyeshadow.
I use the liquid matte ink because you have the use oil to get that one of so even when my eyes tear a lot, it stays on.
Let the concealer dry while doing something else before blending it!

Having wore very little all my life…I can only say mascara lightly and lip gloss
After applying foundation and concealor, I sometimes will put my face in front of a fan for a few minutes for it to set properly, and then ill use my finger and dab away any creases under my eye and on my eyelid
My time-saving hack is that I don’t wear it.

Skincare first always and always!
Instead of bronzer I use a darker shade of powdered foundation. There is always more and it lasts longer.
Don’t wear it everyday!

If you’re too lazy to do a full look, put some BB cream and paint a number three on each side of your face with your bronzer/contouring set and brush.
