We have 2 surnames, which one are you asking for? First one is pretty common in northern Peru and also one of the most common surnames in the country. The other one is a quechua one. Very standard for peruvians, since a lot of peruvian surnames are of quechua origin.
I have only one surname and it’s German, so I guess it would be common or not unexpected in Southern Brazil, but uncommon in other parts of the country
From my paternal side it is of Spanish/ Catalan origin and my maternal side it is a Mexican-ized version of an Italian surname. My paternal surname means “mills” so it was an occupational surname in Spain and the maternal one is from a small town in Northern Italy in the Lombardy region. Neither is necessarily “common” but also not super rare. I’d say categorize them as “uncommon”.
Sephardic Jewish. My last name is not typical at all, and it is more common in Morocco (because that’s where most of my ancestors went in 1492) than in my own country.
My surname is apparently of Galician origin. Doesn’t seem that common in my country since I’ve never met any other family with it (in fact, the only important person who I know shares it is a Mexican actor).

My surname means literally “olive tree”, and it’s common in Brazil. Since Portugal is a huge producer of olive oil, the origin is obvious.
It’s the name of a big city in Italy. Also a famous town in Buenos Aires. I only know one other person with the same surname not related to me.
