I have championship hats and t-shirts from 2020 and 2021, when it was a great time to be a Tampa sports fan. Can I still wear them in 2025, a full 4 and 5 years since my teams won it all? Or am I clinging to the past?
Related: is it tacky for someone to wear, for example, a 1998 Bulls or Yankees championship shirt? That’s almost 30 years ago, but those are iconic teams.

Wear it. At some point it becomes vintage. I wouldn’t know though, my teams have never won a championship ☹️
I don’t think this is an issue. It’s a shirt you own and the one you pulled out of your drawer to put on before you left the house.
Now, if you’re walking around yelling ”World Championship 2021!“ and being insufferable about it, then yeah, you’re clinging to the past.
There is never a time that celebrating your teams history is not ok
Nine thousand years.
Genuinely if your team wins a title you wear that with pride however long you want. I’m from NC and trust me if any of our pro teams won a chip I’d wear the swag for decades. Hell I wore a panthers 2003 NFC Championship shirt till it was threadbare.
As long as you want
I say you can wear it until it’s worn out or you win another championship and buy a new one.
Wear what you want when you want. If someone has a problem with it then it’s just that, THEIR problem not yours.
Wear it when you want to. Don’t care about anyone else’s opinion on the matter.
Who cares? Wear what you want.
I can’t imagine buying a shirt (and keeping it) and only wearing it once. Wear it.
Once a champ, always a champ! Wear it.
When I lived near Buffalo in the mid 2010s, there were still plenty of people wearing AFC championship gear from the 1990s. Still waiting for the next step that never happened.
