I had been with my wife for 15 years. We had a good relationship, but were feeling burnt out with life (kids, work, house, parents). We had never really used role play in our relationship, however I remembered that when we had got together she had mentioned it as something she could be into. One night while cooking dinner I thought, I would love to have the opportunity to flirt with my wife in a new way. I was feeling like needed to refresh my flirting game.
Anyways, I sorta ran the idea by her. I said I’ve had this crazy idea, would you be interested in a little role play? We could pretend to be old college friends (we were) but instead of dating and marrying, we were just acquaintances that drifted apart and randomly bumped into each other at a bar in a different city.
She loved the idea, we selected a messaging app neither of us use, and a little while later I sent the first message.
When I tell you I had butterflies while writing that first text believe me! It 100% felt like I was 20 again, shooting my shot, hoping for the best. Overall this worked out wonderfully, we definitely were able to reconnect, and have great time. Over the years we have grown even closer, thanks in part to attempting to keep it fresh.

This one ain’t sexual. I was a theater kid growing up and my girlfriend was trying to be more exciting and try new things. We were on vacation across the country when we had lunch next to this bar that looked interesting.
Wanting her to be spontaneous, I suggested we go roleplay in the bar and she should throw a drink in my face. It took some convincing all throughout our meal but she finally agreed.
We finished eating and I let her go enter the bar while I paid and whatnot. A short time after, I walk in and sit next to her, we pretend not to know each other, yada yada. The whole time we’re drinking our drinks I am just hyping her up to throw it in my face. She’s trying to chicken out but I live for this kind of public spectacle.
She’s about to bail when I finally just say, “this is happening, okay? You don’t have a choice. Three, two-“ BAM! She slams her hands on the bar, shouts “oh you think so?!” And tosses her drink in my face before storming out. It was outstanding. The bar froze, I looked at everyone and all I could think to say was, “I didn’t know people actually did that.” I ordered and downed a shot, cleaned the bar, and closed out before leaving with my tail between my legs.
From her point of view, I started counting and then she was suddenly waiting in the car XD I had to fill her in on the whole thing. It was a lot of fun and one of my favorite stories.

For my girlfriend‘s birthday a few years ago, she asked if we could role-play a first date. So we met up at this cute little wine bar around the corner. Hugged, introduced ourselves, sat there and gave each other our whole backstory and all the conversation you would have on a first date. Flirting and drinking wine and sharing Food. It was so cute and sexy and flirty and fun. Then I brought her back to my place and we “hooked up“.
