It looks cool and discreet at the same time, it’s not very painful and heals very quickly and, the main reason for me, if I want to take it off there’s no visible scar left.
Had thought about it for years, then went through a rough breakup which left me feeling like I wanted more control of myself/ life again. So went and got me other nostril pierced and my septum. I love all three of my nose piercings (except when I’m sick lol)
I was 15 when I first wanted it(piercings were part of the punk sub-culture and much less popular than they are now), my parents wouldn’t let me. I got it done shortly after I turned 18. I’ve had it for 25 years now and have only taken it out once, for my c-section surgery.
I like the look, but I’ve also been self conscious of my nose for my whole life. The septum ring makes my nose appear smaller so that’s why I still have it
I got mine at age 47, I’m 50 now. Always thought nose rings were cute, but never went through with it.
The local shop ( who is amazing, does a lot for breast cancer and SARCC) ran a $40 special. Went on whim. It took about 8 months to totally heal but I love it. I love going to Hot Topic and picking out new ones
i wore a clip on for years before deciding to get it. i wanted a nose piercing, and the only thing holding me back was the possibility of regret. it leaves no scar, you can take it off or flip it whenever, and healing and aftercare of a septum is a lot easier than any other piercing
Played with a Snapchat filter and thought it looked cool. Went to get my nips pierced and said screw it add that also! The chick doing my paperwork had one and she said it didn’t really hurt. I had it since 2021 and love it.

Because it’s cute and easy to hide when I feel like hiding it.

It’s adorable and I can flip it away whenever I need to!
Going on tumblr during the 2010’s. Decided in 10 seconds I’m getting one right when I turn 18. And did!
Because it was cute, and I don’t regret it for one second
I just like the look of it. I have never had to worry about flipping it up but it’s cool that you can.

I always wanted one because you can hide it. I never hide mine, lol.
I have a giant nose that draws attention. May as well decorate it lmao

Honestly? A mix of boredom, a need for change, and the urge to feel a little rebellious without saying a word
