Stop talking to her. Stop writing songs about her. Delete her number. Ignore her attempts to contact you. She cheated on you. She humiliated you in public. She hit you when you stood up to her. She dumped you, then she slept with your friends. She has a new boyfriend who’s irritated by you hanging around like a stale fart all the time. She’s stringing you along for an ego boost. She’s not your friend.

This isn’t love. You look pathetic. Have some self respect for fucks sake. You’re worth more than this.

So much! Ask more questions. Read more. Wear sunscreen. Travel everywhere.

Keep your head high and always walk away from things gracefully (relationships, jobs, conflicts, etc.), don’t always try to get the last word in, and trust your instincts. Build healthy habits in a way that feels good to you, your body will thank you.

A positive attitude, a good work ethic, and strong relationships will open more doors than any degrees will.

Don’t get caught up trying to keep up with the Joneses. Give back to your community, or a cause, however you can, at least once a year.

Financially, split up your direct deposit so something goes into your 401k or IRA before it hits your account. Percentage based is the ideal way, but even $25 a paycheck is great too. S&P500 is the lowest effort and highest ROI for someone lazy like me. Never buy an annuity, and if you need a money manager, get one that’s a fiduciary (only a fiduciary, some can have multiple licenses).

No matter how bad things get, believe in yourself and trust that you’ll end up better than you were before. The challenging parts of life are the most important, and while it doesn’t always make sense when you’re in the thick of it, you’ll look back on it and see how the dots are all connected.

Before traveling internationally, download your itinerary/confirmation numbers because not every country has WiFi. And make sure to keep a copy of your license and passport in your cloud—helps you get a new one much easier at an embassy.

Realistically, probably the same advice everyone else gave me at the same stage.

However, the difference would be is to listen to my younger self, and let me be heard in a way that I felt I wasn’t when I was younger. Too many belittled me while demanding “to be heard” and everything.

If I could have that chance….It may be a combination of being allowed to blow off frustrated steam and having someone ask the right questions to let me be understood.
