When you retired, what did you do with the references, memorabilia, and other professional stuff from your career? Did you keep it for sentimental value or toss it all?

I kept the company-issued overcoats & warm jackets. Very useful still.
I think that somewhere in the shed is a “personnel file” with copies of nice letters about me written by customers. Some of them are quite funny.
“One day”, I’ll declutter and put it all in the firepit.
I kept my three best guitars, one synth, a couple microphones, a good 5.1 monitor set and several computers. I still record music, but just for fun. I had a whole home studio before, most of which was sold or donated.
o you know…you keep some stuff that, at the time, feels significant. after time, however, it becomes easier to let it go.
I donated the toaster oven to the breakroom so I didnt feel bad taking clips, stapler, pens, etc.
