It started with “When I was fourteen, I had an eighteen year old girlfriend, and her parents planned a wedding for us…”

You mean like in high school when I was planning on asking a girl out the next day only to find out she hooked up with someone at a party the night before? Not really clear on what the question is asking to be honest.

“He might be an asshole, but at least he doesn’t cheat on me.” -Woman who had personally caught her husband cheating several times before.

“She pulled a knife on me last night, but it’s okay because I was the one that made her upset” yeah we don’t talk to him anymore lmao

When my mate told me about a back and forth he had with his GF,

“You sure as hell moan a lot, don’t you?”

“Why not. It’s not as if you make me moan so I have to do it myself”

When I was told this 16-17 year old girl was dating a 36-37 year old man

Coworker had unusually gotten a girlfriend.  I say “unusually” because this man was 5 foot even and spherical, objectively speaking his odds were basically 0.

I was talking to him about it one day and he confessed to me that he might break up with her because she weighed more than him.  She was only mildly chubby, but because she had more than a foot on him she somehow beat him in number.  According to him, he just couldn’t convince himself to date a girl who was heavier than him.

    I was baffled.

My sister was dating a guy right out of college and he wanted to get married. She was young and hesitant and said she didn’t want to get married to anyone. He held on for a couple years hoping she’d change her mind.

At one point she told me in confidence “I don’t actually know if I want to get married or not… but I know I don’t want to marry HIM.”

I felt so so bad for the guy and urged her to be honest with him. Idk if she ever did but they didn’t last too much longer either way.
