Personally, I get up at 7:30 to be at work by 9am but it is all going to depend on where you live/ how far your commute is (mine is around 30 minutes) etc. I don’t think you’ll find any consensus answer here.
Between 5 and 5:30. I’ve been retired for five years and still get up early. I wish I could sleep more, but my body hurts too much to keep laying there.
Depends. My bedroom faces east so in the summer I wake up earlier, but my alarm is set for 7am on days I have to go into the office. On my WFH days, I let myself sleep a bit later.
2 hours before I have to leave for work. It could be anywhere from 8 to 11 AM. Such is life in the kitchen. On my days off I don’t set an alarm but usually wake up naturally before 9.
Work starts at 9:30, and since it’s remote I sometimes have the chance to go back to bed for an hour after the kids get on the school bus…..
I do not miss the days (before 2017, when I finally found a job that let me work remote most of the week and come in later for the onsite days) of waking up at 5 AM to commute…
That depends greatly on my day. Sometimes I have to work in the evening, so I’ll sleep until 9-9:30. Sometimes I have to get up and fly or drive somewhere early. so 3:30-4:30. Home office days, around 8.
I’m retired/disabled, and single with no dependents or pets, so the answer is: whenever I feel like it. I’ve always been a night owl, so I usually fall asleep around dawn and wake up around 1pm, but unless I have an appointment, who cares, I do what I want. I have my coffee maker in a smart plug so I just turn it on from my phone in bed whenever I wake up. I have blackout curtains so nothing matters (okay, also for my migraines).
4:30, 1 hr commute and random 6am start times announced with 0 notice means I’m always tired and I’m either eating gas station buscuits and gravy in my car or choking down an egg sandwich as I walk in to see just how poorly spent my time knowledge and effort will be utilized that day.
My schedule cam vary quite a bit, but my “normal” wakeup time is 3:20am. Doomscroll for 20 minutes, shower, pack a breakfast and lunch, then leave by 4:20 to open up my office for 5:00am.
Usually between 4 and 5am. I’ve gotten up at that time most of my life. Sleeping in for me is 6am. I wake up at 4:30am and I have the same amount of energy as I do at 4:30pm.
My alarm is for 9:15 but I usually wake up naturally around 8:40 and just laze in bed until 9. I try to get to office by 10:30 for my first meeting but it’s not a big deal if I take it from home
Depending what time I have to get to work. So it’s 3:30 AM 4:00 AM or the fun one 6:00 AM. It’s always later cause the snooze button gets hit a lot, hahaha
When I was young I lived on a 48 hour schedule. Up for 36, sleep for 12. My sleep was crazy. Then I got around 40. Now I get tired around 9, in bed 11 at the latest and up around six. No reason. No work or scheduled anything I need to plan my sleep around. My body just suddenly decided that is how I sleep.
Around 7-8 AM. Sometimes my husband’s alarm wakes me up. Sometimes my husband wakes me up (not on purpose). Sometimes my gut wakes me up. Just depends, but if none of those things wake me up, I get up naturally by 8:30 AM.
I wake up at 05:30 so I can relax before work. Work is from 07:00 til 15:30. I prefer the early hours so I can see the sun for an hour or two during the winter. It also helps me avoid traffic.
About 530. I work flex hours so, I work 8 hours a day but my job is very independent. I could do 7-330 or 9-530. I personally like going in early because I like longer evenings to unwind, cook dinner, and get things done. As a teenager I used to sleep in a lot but now I’ve got used to it. Even on weekends when I have nothing to do I still can’t sleep past like 7.
I’m retired. My dog usually wakes me around 7:30am. After I let her outside and put some food out for her, I go back to bed and sleep until 9, sometimes 10 or 11 depending on how late I was up the night before. I have a part time retail job 3 or 4 afternoons a week, so as long as I make it to work by 1pm on those days I’m good. I do all of my chores and shopping and errands in the evenings.
