Hi Everyone, I’m seeking legal advice/options on what I can do if the noncustodial parent refuses to provide me updates during summer visitation.
For background info:
The other parent & i have a standard possession order so my son is currently staying with the other parent from July 1st to July 31st. On July 5th (sons birthday) I asked the other parent to send a picture & an update on our son, but he ignored me, so a couple days later I asked again (same outcome). After a week went by I emailed him and told him that ignoring communication is a violation of the court order, so he finally responded with “he’s good, not sending a pic”, I also forgot to mention that I asked for his sisters’ number so I can talk to her because I don’t want to cut into his visitation time, but again he refuses. I don’t think im being unreasonable because Im not asking to video chat with our son ( I don’t want to stress him out or cut into other parents time), all I’m asking for is a quick update about his well being & a picture of him, so I know he’s ok. Does anyone know what I can do? Am I able to call for a welfare check? Our son is 4, this is the longest he’s ever been away from me.

What does the order say about contact during this visitation?
