My job requires me to carry a work laptop around and currently it’s just raw doggin the inside of my backpack. My backpack does have a laptop pocket but it still feels wrong just putting it straight into my bag. Any suggestions on sleeves, binders, folders?
What to put laptop in so it’s not naked in my backpack?

The same sized sheet of cardboard that other backpacks have. Gives it shape and is light.
If it’s got a laptop sleeve I would just use that. If not a cheap foam zip sleeve works fine for me. My only concern is not dropping mine. My bag doesn’t have a sleeve so I don’t want to accidentally open it too far and have it fall out.
Laptop sleeve. You can get them for a few bucks in most clearance sections and even the dollar store. Or make one with a sewing machine.
so you want to put your laptop into a laptop cozy, which you then slip into the laptop pocked which is inside the backpack.
based on this, I’d argue that not only would you never rawdog but would in fact double or triple wrap your wee wee

I just put one of those pockets folders with some papers to kinda stiffen the back and make it easier to slip in and out of the laptop pocket and I always make sure the strap is velcro down in place after putting my laptop in there.
I mean, the pocket offers enough protection and if my laptop doesn’t go to sleep in my haste to pack, at least it’s not going to overheat enough to do lasting damage anyways.
Some people use those neoprene sleeves and there are also laptop shell cases to give you the feel of extra protection without the extra steps of triple wrapping it the way you seem to want to do…

A second, smaller backpack.
They sell those sleeves when I was in college. Kinda like the koozie for can or bottle. I personally used it a few times.

Let’s be real—your laptop deserves better than to be raw doggin’ it in there! Get it a cozy sleeve or maybe even a snazzy little case. Think of it as its own personal spa day—who wouldn’t want that?
You could wrap it up in a small towel.
This might be a bad take, but if it’s a computer issued to you, I personally wouldn’t even worry about it. Carrying it around in a backpack is more than sufficient. No need to spend money to protect a corporate asset that really doesn’t require protection.
How soon do you want a new computer, it will get clogged with yuk put in the protective sleeve
Scuba (neoprene) laptop sleeve. Amazon.
Mine has a laptop pocket too, I still put a couple notebooks in there, one in front and one in back for additional protection.
Back in the original box it came in – jk probs a laptop sleeve?
Wrap it in a towel because then you will also know where your towel is.
