I mean no gym, no feel your suffering and stay in it, no practical advices. I need to hear the strangest things you’ve ever done to get over it.
What was the strangest of weirdest thing you did to get over a painful breakup?

My ex left me the day I got out of hospital after getting a pacemaker… this was also after being together for just over 8 years and helping him through multiple health related issues….
I grieved for 3 days then downloaded dating apps.. regretted that since alot of guys are creeps
Then my now partner (then best friend) asked if I would ever consider giving us a chance.. at first I said no didnt want to loose my best friend too…. then after staying up till about 4am talking over socials we decided f**k it let’s give it go…
17 months later here we are still going strong through everything life has thrown at us so far ❤️
I started flirting with my childhood friend ( I’m 17 but known him since kindergarten) and invited him over. I always liked him since being young and had lots of hit or miss relationships and now we’ve been together for almost 2 years(anniversary is June 24th) I’m so lucky that I tried cus I thought he wouldn’t date me but here we are and this was after my ex blocked me on everything then told me he went to an asylum or something it was strange but glad I’m with my childhood sweetheart now💗💗
There was a meal that I loved and used to make all the time, that my ex didn’t like, so I stopped making it for the 10 years we were together. When we broke up, I got all the ingredients and made it for myself and a close female friend, and we ate it while she let me vent about him.
Another time: I purposefully started listening to a band I assume he’d hate (based on how mean he was about me liking a band with a similar sound).
Wrote a fictionalized version of our relationship that I turned into a novel.
Study. I immersed myself into my books till I couldn’t stay awake.
