A cover of the Bee Gees’ song “To Love Somebody” by Ray Lamontagne and Damien Rice
The wedding song was my thing. I narrowed it down to 4 possible songs that met my criteria (danceable, not overly long, nothing used by any friends/family members and not overdone at other weddings, no gender-specific language that would feel weird at a gay wedding) and my SO picked one from that list.

Phil Collins – Groovy kind of love. It’s one of my wifes favourite songs so I let her choose.
33 by the smashing pumpkins. I pitched it and let my wife watch the video, she was in immediately
Crocodile Rock at Jr High School dance
“Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. And no.

Friday I’m in Love by the cure. We got married on a Friday 😂
For The Better by The Floorwalkers. And yes.
At Last by Etta James and yes. My friend is a great singer and we’d heard her knock it out of the park, so we asked her to sing it for us.
I wanted Stars over Texas by Tracy Lawrence. My wife said she didn’t care but was insistent on “To Make You Feel My Love” by Garth Brooks.
We talk about it later on how none of us like our song and she said that she should have just let me pick it so at least one of us liked it.
Tom Smith (Editors) did a soft piano cover of Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen and I suggested it, she loved it. Link to song below.
