I think even if Kamala won, Congress would still be a Republican majority so we probably would still be discussing abortion rights and body autonomy issues. I think parts of Project 2025 would be attempted to be implemented.

Unpopular opinion, but the way this country seems to work is that things have to get really bad before most of the population pulls their head out of their ass. I think we are going to have to go through this to wake up the uninformed voters who choose this and to wash this MAGA insanity out of our system for once and for all, but also a Democratic party content with the status quo. The wealth gap is insane and the leading Dems, as they still are, still aren’t there as far as doing anything about it. It’s absolutely fair to hate Trump and the Republicans, but we can’t grow and get better unless we hold the Dems accountable, too. I’m hopeful that we’ll come out of this whole shitty episode feeling stronger and with some kind of positive change. That’s how it has gone in the past. That’s how we ended up with Lincoln and FDR.

I know in australia with our few female australian prime ministers, we had a lot of sexism come up and that was our biggest issue..even still to this day.
