It’s a few days/weeks that I keep thinking too much about issues in my life. And I reached the point that usually I start having headache.
The thoughts are about my work, my appearance, my self esteem/confidence… Or lack of them.
I basically never have a moment of silence in my head.
Always thinking I’m not good enough.
What’s a good way to stop overthinking to the point I get headache?

See your doctor. You should be evaluated for any physical causes, such as OCD, etc.
TBH dude, been there, done that. What really helped me was meditation n’ exercise. Let’s face it, our brains are our own worst enemy sometimes. And yeah, I know it sounds cliche, but it legit works. And def don’t forget to hydrate. Water is your brain’s best bud. Lastly, remember bro, the only one in this world who needs to approve of you is YOU. You’re your own worst critic. Cut y’self some slack. Keep it real. 👊💯
I get this too, and it’s exhausting. What helps me is writing my thoughts down so they’re out of my head, then doing something small that calms me like walking or music. It doesn’t fix everything, but it gives my brain a break
Movement helps. A walk, a workout, even stretching. Your brain calms down when your body is doing something rhythmic.
Journaling saved me. Getting the spirals out of my head and onto paper made them feel smaller and less endless.
Limit caffeine and screens before bed. They feed the constant chatter and make overthinking 10x worse.
Therapy or CBT can be life-changing for intrusive thoughts. Learning to challenge and reframe them takes practice but really works.
Ooooooof currently dealing with that. Started out of nowhere again, but even worse- constantly rambling thoughts, even bad intrusive thoughts I don’t want to the point of bad headache 🙁 I hope
You get better! 🙏🏽
I have found that getting into an intense cardio session can really quite the mind.
That could be a good hard run, or doing plyometrics, or mountain biking, or skating, or climbing, playing a sport, etc etc.
When you get stuck in your head, try to get into your body with some movement. Even if it’s not intense cardio. A good long walk has often done wonders for clearing the headspace.
