In order to keep myself in the weight I want to be, I’ve just been eating less, while that seems simple, it’s quite hard to do, you always feel hungry.
I started to clean the lent out of my belly button on a more regular basis. It has helped with my gas issues, I don’t have as much gas anymore now because my stomach can breath better.
Trimming my armpit hair once a month. Had problems with odor before, I showered and then 2 hours later I would smell sweaty again. It made me so insecure I would wear sweatshirts year around to try and mask the smell which of course only made it worse because it got hot af in spring/summer. Pruning my underarm hair immediately solved that problem for me.
Exfoliating glove in the shower 4-5x weekly. While my skin was always decent, I never thought of myself as someone with soft, smooth skin. And it always felt a little bumpy/rough where my butt cheeks met my thighs and on the back of my upper arms. Now I can’t stop touching my own skin, it feels so nice.
I started using a spin toothbrush years ago. The very first time, my teeth instantly felt soooo much cleaner. Might not seem like a huge deal to some (and granted, it’s not), but I loved it at the time.
Not leaning on the table or bar at restaurants, especially during the summer. The trace amounts of sunscreen left behind by other people has caused violent skin reactions and eczema breakouts that lasted all summer long. I guess I’m not picking up their germs either, because I don’t get as many colds!
Rinsing my throat out in the shower every time. I have bad allergies and used to suffer 2 sinus infections a year. Since doing this practice 15 year ago – haven’t had a sinus infection since.
My three tips: cleaning all my piercings once a week, spraying perfume on my elbow creases, wrists, armpits, and neck, and, exfoliating my face and body once a week then applying lotion.
All over body deodorant after showers. Under my chesticles, especially where the bra sits, and between thighs. I use qtips for my intergluteal cleft, just scrape some off the deodorant stick and give a quick swipe or two.
Old spice all over shea and vanilla. It’s been especially helpful since being pregnant with my fourth and I wish I discovered this after my third baby, when the weight stuck around and became difficult to lose.
Also using serums in my skin routine. Struggled with acne since getting pregnant with my oldest 10+ years ago. Using niacinamide, vit c, peptides and collagen, plus sunscreen and ponds moisturizer. I haven’t felt my skin blemish free on over a decade. Now to tackle the dark spots acne scars have left
Getting a water pick cause I’m too lazy to floss every day. Last time I saw my dentist, he and the hygienist both had passive comments on my teeth and gums instead of the usual “they look beat up” or what not. Has also improved my breath smell, too
As someone who can never floss with just the string, discovering floss picks is the game changer. I get praised at every dental cleaning for keeping my teeth so clean, especially when my teeth are quite crooked.
Ok I’m always shocked when I hear people don’t do this. You have to scrub your feet somehow if you don’t want to have smelly feet. Either in the shower with a brush, after the shower with a rough towel, whatever. You have to get in between the toes and get that dead skin off the whole foot. Make sure you dry them off well, don’t jam damp feet into socks. Change your socks daily and you won’t have stinky shoes and gross feet.
For guys (or women) with smelly/itchy feet. Run a bunch of tea tree oil on them twice a day …. Even once a day. Makes all the difference. Kills all bacteria
Using prescription toothpaste at night, specifically 3M Clinpro 5000.
I used to be prone as hell to cavities despite dentists constantly telling me how good my oral hygiene is. This stuff saved me after a dentist trip being told I had 14 cavities. They filled 8 and the other 6 recovered because of this toothpaste.
Actually doing a good skincare routine, I try as often as I can to keep up but I know I can feel a difference when I do. Life is still hard sometimes lol
I used to have a few sinus infections every year in my twenties. Nothing meds could clear up or at least be managed with pain meds for the sinus headaches.
Then I was on a job assignment and worked with a Brit who told me to stop blowing my nose and instead sniff it up. He told me his Doctor told him to do this to clear the nasal passage which instead of putting pressure on the sinus cavities and compacting mucus, this creates a slight negative pressure that helps clear the sinuses. He said, “get over anything you think may be gross about it because it will change your life.”
Fast forward 30 years and I haven’t had one sinus infection since.

I’m constantly surprised that people didn’t brush their tongue, or floss.
You can just look at what you’re spitting out to see the benefit. And try smelling floss after use… That was in your mouth
