Not really a quote, but I just try to remember that it’s everyone’s first time on Earth. That perspective rly helps me give people more grace n understanding
You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
It’s the perfect antidote to that “I need to have everything figured out” paralysis. Life’s messy, unpredictable, and honestly, nobody’s got the full map. It’s like, don’t wait for the perfect moment or perfect plan to start. So, whenever I’m stuck in overthinking hell, this quote reminds me: don’t overcomplicate, just do.
My late father once wrote to me in a card: “Please don’t let the negative things in this world make you blind to the fact that there is infinite beauty and wonder in it as well.” I have it tattooed on my arm. ❤️
“Do it scared.” Simple but effective. Also can be interchanged to “Do it: exhausted, sad, anxious etc.”
I struggle with having to envision every step of the whole process before I start on things and then this inevitably leads me to spiral or become overwhelmed. This little phrase just cuts that step out for me.
Not mainly a quote but a verse. It was Psalms 23 in the King James version of the Holy Bible. My family (especially by my(deceased) grandma) Grandma told me to read it everyday and say it everyday. After she passed; I say it in my sleep because I know God is with me every step of the way.
A woman I met on holiday told me something her Dad used to say; ‘Make it easy for people to give you what you want,’. A number of my male colleagues (male dominated industry) would get so caught up in being the ‘alpha guy’ that they would annoy people they needed things from.

Just because you started late doesn’t mean you can’t become the best.
The only person you need to be better than is who you were yesterday.
