It’s ok to be generous. If you have more than you need, you’ll be amazed at how little you miss giving from it generously. Don’t get me wrong, I think Jesus gave totally the wrong vibe, encouraging a destitute woman to make herself more destitute. That seems wrong to me. I’m talking about, if you have more than you need, and you give some of your excess generously to someone who’ll benefit from it, you might not miss it as much as you think you will.
Edit: and if you don’t have more than you need then don’t feel obligated to make yourself worse off. Yeah do that if you’re really moved to do it, but don’t feel like it’s your moral duty. Your own suffering counts for something too!
Don’t trust cops. They are not your friends. Asking for a lawyer or exercising other rights does not making you guilty.
You are allowed to communicate your feelings in a relationship. 90% of askmen/askwomen/whatever relationship sub/whatever amita sub is people not just communicating….
If you find a lost pet, you can’t just take it home and keep it. You have to at least notify the shelter you have it bc the owners are probably looking for it
Use your turn signal when exiting the roundabout. It’s not just to let people behind you know where you’re going, but for the people attempting to enter traffic so they know whether to yield or safely move forward. It’s not difficult. In fact, it’s fucking considerate.
Outside of your rights guaranteed by whatever government whose jurisdiction you are subject to, you are not owed a single thing nor are you entitled to anything just because you exist. If you want anything, you are going to have to sacrifice in order to achieve what you want in life and even then you may still fail. Life is 10% hard work and 90% luck
The only item on the menu at a kebab place is a kebab, even if they have 20 other options. The rest isn’t ordered often enough for them to care about making it good, or keeping fresh ingredients
COVER YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU COUGH OR SNEEZE!! Recently sat in a hospital waiting room near a kid who was just wandering around coughing on everyone and everything..those tounge out, mouth wide open coughs, I wondered why his dad wasn’t telling him to cover his mouth.. and then he started coughing too.. exactly the same as the child! Cover your damn mouth! We’re already in a&e we don’t need your cold too!
Possibly America-centric, but if your neighborhood uses street parking, try to park in front of your own house and not have a million cars parked all over the place.
New neighbors parked in front of another neighbor’s house today to use their shade. I realize it’s public parking. First come, first serve. Still seems shitty to do.
99% of the time when you take the escalator in transit / metro etc. everyone usually put themselves to one side : PUT YOURSELF TO THE SIDE TOO! Some people are late, running, or just need to get to their destination quickly, stop standing in the middle of the escalator goddamnit!
Is it too much to ask for people to speed up on the onramp and not got the same speed as the service lane? It’s always safer reaching highway speeds before getting on the highway.
Equality is not equity. Some people need and deserve circumstances designed for their starting point. They aren’t being given more than you – you were already given the benefit they don’t have at some other point or in some other way.
Do not step off an escalator or elevator and stop dead. Keep moving and step to the side if you need to stop.
The same goes for walking into a store. I know you’re overwhelmed by all the shiny trinkets or you need to get your shopping list out, but step to the side. Other people are behind you.
When you’re waiting for an elevator, when the doors open, let the people inside get off first, before you shove your way on.
Be polite to strangers even if you’re having a bad day. As someone who’s worked as a cashier for 2 years, it’s exhausting having people I’ve never met show up angry

If you microwave fish in a shared office kitchen, you forfeit your right to complain about anything for 6 months.
Do not use speakerphone in public spaces.
After you poop, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO WIPE. There are apperently grown men refusing to wipe their asses. Smearing their shit everywhere. Nauseating.
Treat others like you want to be treated by others.
THE LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING NOT FOR GOING WHATEVER SPEED YOU FEEL LIKE GOING
Hurt people hurt people
You can choose to be anything in this world, so choose to be kind.
Treat people how you wanna be treated, be kind and respectful. It’s the basic but these days, people forget about it
When bowling, if someone in the lane next to you is about to roll, do not step up on the approach
Do not stop immediately after stepping off an escalator.
The queue must be enforced. Be prepared to be body checked and knocked to the end of the line if you believe otherwise.
There’s these 3 words called “please” and “thank you” that are really lovely to use/hear.
Also commonly known as Manners.
Feel like some people could use a refresher on them.

For a lot of people, what’s coming at you is coming from you.

Don’t be a cunt springs to mind. Evidently, a lot of people have a serious problem with that.
The rule no one teaches:
Silence usually knows the answer before the mind catches up.
Most people are just too loud inside to hear it.
That you have to work – for yourself or for someone else – if you want to live.
You have to get food, water, shelter, etc. somehow some where.
Most people are doing the best they can. They’ll make mistakes, so give them the grace you’d want when you inevitably make one.
Don’t make fun of people for things they’re excited about, even if it’s cringey to you
Never vote republican for anything
That you don’t owe anyone access to you just because they “mean well.”
Your music is for you, not everyone on the bus/train/other public place with you.

If there are empty seats that have no one sitting in the seats beside them, use that before you sit next to a stranger. It’s weird.
Let people OFF the train BEFORE entering
Driving is a luxury. Don’t look down on people who don’t/can’t drive. And please offer lifts and give favours to them

Wait a fuxking second before getting on the elevator
On an Aeroplane, if 3 seats are together, the middle seat gets to use both of the middle armrests.

Life is not a competition.
Mind your business.
Equality is not equity. Some people need and deserve circumstances designed for their starting point. They aren’t being given more than you – you were already given the benefit they don’t have at some other point or in some other way.
Don’t block walkways, don’t play videos out loud in public, and always return your shopping cart. Basic human decency stuff
If you want someone to help you, insulting them doesn’t make them more likely to help you.
Your computer is just shy and will stop loading if you dont stare at it
Don’t be an ass.

Put your shopping cart back in the corral thing
Don’t stop in a doorway and have a conversation when people are trying to enter the room
Put your empty shopping cart in the corral designed for it when you’re done.
Be nice to people

If you’re going to stop in an aisle at the grocery store, pull your carriage to the side so other people have room to get through.
If you have insurance and get mental health checked, they will attempt to juice you in a fashion indistinguishable from insurance fraud.
Throw trash in the damn can, not next to it…
it’s like people are used to living in mound of filth that magically disappears after a nap in the middle of the road.
Don’t be a dick to the people who prepare your food.
If you’re walking and someone is walking towards you, pass on the right.
Don’t stand in front of the elevator doors waiting to get in. Stand out of the way and let people off first
The person in the middle row of the airplane gets both arm rests.
When there is a row of 4 seats. Then the two in the middle fight to the death for the armrest between them.
