I’ve always been after long term relationships rather than one night stands, like sex gets pretty old fast for me, I need the emotional part of the thing. Is it like that for gay guys too ?
I suppose the good thing is that straight men have more potential partners or at least more folks to daydream about.
Conversely, although plenty of toxicity and oppressive behaviours and attitudes exist among gay men, the toxicity in straight dating is still very depressing.
I am a straight man in my 40s, and I work with mostly women. When I get bored during meetings, I mentally rate the women in the room in the order I’d sleep with them if I could, and determine exactly where my cut-off line would be. I wonder if gay guys do this with other guys in the room when they’re bored. And, if so, I wonder where I’d be on their list.
You are attracted to women or men, depending on your gender. You get to play with boobs if you’re a dude which is probably very interesting and eventful.
The same as being gay, but you don’t get attacked/murdered for it/legislators to decide whether you can be fired for it/have a family/visit your partner in hospital/etc.
