Was walking around town, and animals had come up in conversation. I mentioned I liked cats. She wandered off for a while and came back with a kitten that she handed me. I was done then. I was going on holiday the day after too, so she found a friend to give it to.
Our first date was to see a stand up comedy show and she was a participator. Like willingly talking to the guy on stage and shit- I was so annoyed. And then she knocked her drink off the table and shattered a glass. It was not good.
She slept with me though, so I decided to give her a second chance. We’ve been married nine years and we now have three kids.

It was late at night and we were sitting in his car so we got into one of those “heavy subject, light conversation” conversations. We’re talking about our last relationships and how they ended. His ex pushed him into an open relationship then slept with his best friend iirc. I was like well mine never did that but he did call me a worthless slut and strangled me. We kind of laughed about it in a “people are crazy, what can you do but move on” way.
Later when we were kissing the guy grabbed me by the throat and said something to the effect of “you’re such a worthless slut.”
I was like yo, what the fuck is wrong with you. He apologized profusely and said he didn’t know what he was thinking.
He lied about his height, and was a couple inches shorter than me. Height difference isn’t a problem, but the lying is. We met at his place for drinks and then went to a bar, met a group of people that I thought were his friends. They weren’t, he didn’t know any of them, but one of the girls there was someone he’d matched with on Tinder? Another girl there told me it was super odd that he brought me to hang with one of his tinder matches on a first date. I ignored these red flags, and things kept getting worse with him. Dated for just under 2 months before I cut things off.
We were at a semi fancy restaurant for our first date and he asked if we could put our phones on the table and “pick a picture from each others camera rolls and describe what’s going on there or where we were” I was like hahaha??? No? It was a quick dinner lol

Friend tried getting me back into dating after my wife and I divorced. I figured fuck it, I’ll give it a try just to appease them as I wasn’t particularly feeling it.
Go on the first date with this woman and it’s… ok? I guess? She seemed nice enough, laughed at my puns, was ok looking (relatively plain facially and a tiny bit over weight but I’m fat so not going to judge on that front). We went for coffee and spent the date talking, establishing some ground stuff for relationship compatibility (this is relevant: I was polyamorous and kinky at that time, so it was things brought up in the conversation immediately because I know both of those can be deal breakers for people), political compatibility, stuff like that. Important stuff in my eyes. She seemed ok with my positions and I wasn’t seeing anything wrong with hers. Nothing bad happened but I was kinda… bored. Just wasn’t feeling anything (in complete fairness to her I don’t think at that point I should have been dating, wasn’t over all the stuff that happened in my marriage).
I figured it’d just be the one date and everything would kinda take its course.
She ended up reaching. She enjoyed the date(?) and would like to go out again if I was ok with it(???). My friend put a lot of pressure on me to go out with her again. Said she hadn’t seen her friend this excited over a date in a while (Which… confuses me. We just talked for several hours and had coffee together. I asked questions about her life, things she liked, things like that. I don’t understand why that would make someone excited but eh?).
Figure fuck it, sure. There wasn’t anything bad that happened the first time so it couldn’t hurt.
We go back to the timmies and are talking again. About a hour or two she hits me with, ‘Since we’re now dating you don’t have to be poly anymore.’ Which… what the fuck? Explained that it doesn’t work like that. She insisted it does. After about 20 minutes of back and forth on that I told her while she seems nice enough I don’t think we’re compatible and I hope she has luck in the future and wish her well. She starts crying, saying it was just a joke(?) and I could still be poly(???) and she’d like a second chance. I tell her I don’t think it’ll work and get up and leave.
She starts to follow me, saying it was just a joke and she’d like another chance and stuff like that.
Some important geographical context is needed here: I live near the city hall in my city. It’s pretty busy. I have to pass it on the way from the Tim Hortons back to my apartment. During the day there is usually crowds of people around, either employees or people doing government stuff.
As I’m turning the corner on the main building, there’s a group of like 20 people there. Neither of us see them yet because building corner.
She blurts out, loud enough for the entire group to here, that she’d let me tie her down and would suck my dick if I gave her another chance and overlooked the joke. The entire group heard and just… looked at us as we both come around the corner.
I don’t embarass easily, but that one still pops into my head sometimes when I’m walking past that building.

Girl. Sat on the phone most of the time , barely spoke. I asked for the bill separate and after I paid my food, I simply wished her a good day and left. Considering the face se made , I’m pretty sure she accepted the date for the free food.
First date with a woman I met on Tinder. We’re at this restaurant, having some wine and a fun conversation, when a very tall, muscular guy walks by our table with a very tall, fit woman at his side, on their way out. Both of them are at least 10 years younger than me and my date.
This woman stopped talking mid-sentence, looking over my shoulder so she could better measure that guy up.
Like, from head to toes and back.

Once they were gone, she turned back to me and proceeded to resume our conversation like it was perfectly normal.

And I shit you not, that grown-ass woman started pouting and whining because she “had made plans for us later” and I was “ruining everything”.

He invited me out with his friends who were visiting after a couple of dates.
I got into the Uber and he was already belligerently drunk and was saying something “funny” to a friend that was just shitty. Got more drunk over the course of the night, and when we went to leave the bar he just… Ditched the whole group.
He went way ahead of the group on his way home, and then locked his door, turned off his phone, and “went to sleep”. I ended up staying with the friends and (eventually) one of his neighbors while they tried to figure out where they were going to sleep since he was supposed to put him up.
The friends seemed… Used to it. One mentioned, “Yeah, he does this sometimes”. Never spoke to the guy again.
He told me I would have to compete with some other girl for him and how he knew how much I would spoil him. Also shiftty with their phones.
I ran for the hills…
Invited me for cocktails. Did not drink. They could have picked a different thing. I drank a shot, they paid, I left.
She suggested a bar to go to. Turns out she worked at the bar, and a group of her friends showed up to hang out with her on our date. Her trashy friends grilled me, and she spent most of the time talking about how she needs to update her profile so she gets better guys to go on dates with, and that guys need to learn when a date is over and just go home. I took the hint and ended the date and she insisted she didn’t mean me, was having a great time and wanted to see me again.
I pitched the idea of a second date, a brunch date, to give her a second chance. She asked if her friends could come. When I said no, she said her friends do what they want and were going to show up anyway, so I canceled the date and never spoke to her again.
A woman walked up to me in the middle of our date and told me not to date this man because he’s rude and disrespectful. He had walked away to get us drinks so I have no clue what he said / did to her but it was enough for me to know a 2nd won’t happen.

He said sure and that he’d “always wanted to try Indian food”. Which was weird, because we lived in an area that had quite a number of popular, very good Indian restaurants and he was a functioning adult.
Turns out, he didn’t particularly want to try it, because he spent forever with the menu trying to find something that he’d be willing to try, then gave up and just picked whatever, then spent a ridiculous amount of time separating everything on the plate so he could figure out what everything was, and then got upset when I told him that something was a bamboo shoot.
If he had told me he was a picky eater that couldn’t handle anything more adventurous than hot dogs or whatever, he could have saved us both the afternoon.
It was circa 2003-2004. Got asked out on a date by a guy who I thought was pretty attractive. I thought he was a little out of my league.

Dude went on for a bit about the other girl who canceled and I remember getting really pissed and pondered just up and leaving and walking home (it would have been a long walk, but shit I was beginning to feel like the shitty left over sandwich in the back of the fridge no one wants unless there’s no other food available).
During the movie he tried to touch my leg (I was wearing a short skort) a number of times and I kept moving his hand off of my leg.
Date ended. I went home. Later I started a relationship with another guy and Phone Guy decided he was actually interested in me and had the weirdest freak out moment to me over the phone about how I should choose him.

I asked him why he felt that the people who had lived there for thousands of years didn’t have any right to the land all of a sudden and he said ‘They weren’t doing anything with it anyway’ Um… bye.

I was terrified. He thought we had a great time.
