I purchased an online course about how to grow a youtube channel from scratch, reached an impressive subscriber count of 73
Moral of the story, don’t listen to those financial gurus who know the “secret”. They know nothing other than to sell you courses

I could’ve told you that for only $19.99/month
To add to your story, I added one weird clip of a tv-show host saying a funny thing, and got 275k views on it, from a channel with 0 subs.
Sometimes it’s about getting lucky, sometimes it’s about knowing how to – and the issue with knowing how’s, is that people are usually not able to teach (or learn) the why and the how – they can only really teach the what. So they can say “play the algorithm” or “create a unique value proposition” but while that’s a good piece of advice, it counts for nothing unless you have that skill and know how to apply it to that specific product or service, because otherwise it’s just empty buzzwords.
You can make a lot of money through courses though… you just need to be on the right side of the course – gurus who try to teach you how to do business are lying to you. – You are their business.
my OF didn’t explode as I thought it would
Try to help lost causes, come to realize some people can’t get out of their own way
Relationships :/ though I guess I learned to respect myself enough to not give everything. It’s frustrating but I started finding success in dating by initially being emotionally withdrawn and to never agree to do things for them until we were exclusive. If I opened up or offered to help them before that exclusive talk, they were seeing multiple guys and I was the only one she wasn’t having sex with or putting in reciprocal effort. Why? Because I had taught/showed her that I would do anything without question or expectation.
Not me directly, but my company sent me on a 2 week trip to the other side of the state to get certified in bridge inspection.
Idk how much the company spent on that shit, but i didn’t use it in the following 2 years I worked there.
I personally believe that the investment of time and effort almost never yields nothing in return. Knowledge and wisdom are often more valuable than the result we were initially chasing.

On YouTube I follow Ryan Mitchell, who has a channel devoted to mountain climbing. Currently he’s in Nepal climbing K2.
He’s able to do this at age 20 because he made a fortune as a teenager from Fortnite videos. He had over two million subscribers. He credits Mr Beast for his success. He watched a Mr Beast video on what’s required for a successful YouTube channel and followed his advice.
Looks like you got a lesson out of that experience. There’s always something we get back.
