What’s the smartest thing you’ve ever packed for a festival?

r/

Not just the obvious stuff what are the things that actually make a difference once you’re there? Curious what experienced festival-goers never leave behind.

A portable charger is a game changer; keeping your phone alive is crucial.

    A torch
    Hand sanitiser
    A battery pack
    Lots of socks
A tinder bag with silver birch bark, dried leaves, twigs, some little sticks etc and some newspaper soaked food oil, fat or lard. This is for that 5am emergency fire when you wake up wet and need to dry your stuff.

I filled up two quart sized Ziplock bags with vodka and taped them to my thighs back in 2007. I must have saved at least $80 on drinks. With inflation, you’re probably saving $110 now. Oh, and sunscreen.

Electrolyte gummies have been helpful after a long day. Stinger, jelly belly’s, etc. I busted these out for some friends at Coachella and we felt much better and rejuvenated after that

Solar powered battery pack, first aid kit with ice packs and a Swiss army knife (which I always carry anyway)

A wheeled cart to carry our massive water jug back to the campsite.
