My was when I was shopping at Target and trying on new clothes during one of the covid holiday seasons. A female security guard suddenly approached me and said I needed to go to the front of the store and get a mask. I joking said sure alright but whats the point? It’s gonna come off when I put my clothes back on anyway. She angrily left saying fine be that way and I went back to looking for winter jackets but about 10 minutes later 5 police officers carrying AR rifles storm the clothing section and started yelling at me to get on the ground. I had no clue what the hell was going on but was in no position to argue either. As soon as they put the cuffs on and picked me up, they explained that the security guard I spoke with earlier said I pointed a handgun at her when she asked you to put a mask on. They said she was pressing charges and doesn’t want to see you in her store again. I was completely blown away that someone would go to such great lengths to get back at me for a petty joke. Spent the next hour and half pleading about my innocence but I still had to spent a night in jail cause the cops lied and said they saw me on camera brashing a pistol. Oh well at least the DA dropped all charges after PD spent the entire day ransacking that store only to come out empty handed 💀

Literally any interaction I’ve had with them.
Working for them for 27 years!
Those masking rules made the world go bananas.
Was driving on route 2 in Massachusetts which is a 2 lane highway. A Mass State Trooper had someone pulled over. I couldn’t pull over into the left hand lane because there was a semi flying down the lane well over the speed limit I would have been cutting off. I slowed down like you’re supposed to if you can’t move over; went by the Trooper who mind you was in his car. He wasn’t out on the road by the window or anything.
He immediately pulled out and pulled me over. Lt. Small Dick storms out of his car and opens the conversation with “Are you fucking retarded?!? Have you heard of the common sense law?!? Do you have any common sense?!?” and proceeded to just throw and absolute tantrum about me not moving over. (which again, would have required me cutting of a semi truck doing like 75 in a 55)
I just said “yup, yup, yup” to everything he said and after about 5 minutes of non stop shouting he stormed back to his car without telling me if I could leave, and ripped out onto the highway flying by me flooring his cruiser to well above the speed limit and just took off.
If that had been anyone but a cop in my face like that I would have knocked their fucking teeth out.
Nothing here in NZ, but on literally my first night in the US I was taking some sunset photos at a closed lookout area up on Mullholland drive and upon returning to the car in the dark, the police investigating our car immediately pulled out the flashlights and guns and hands-up commands – quite a surprise for a sheltered Kiwi lad who had never seen a handgun in his life.
Lucky for me I am a respectable enough looking white male and was able to defuse with the charming dumb tourist routine. Apparently its a popular place to deal drugs.
We got some selfies in after clearing up the misunderstanding(?) so I guess it wasn’t bad but I can’t imagine how hard interacting with police could be as a minority / in lower socio-economic areas.
I think you made this up
I was biking home from an overnight shift and got winged by a cop. I was in the bike line going moderate speed (I’m not a very fast cyclist) and he decided to take a right hand turn without looking or throwing on a directional. I slammed my brakes and tried to turn, but ended up clipping his mirror. He got out and started yelling at me and demanded my name so he could run my info. Second cop shows up and finally asks if I’m OK which, thankfully, I was. Eventually the first cop comes back, blames me, says he can write me a ticket if he felt like it, and then left.
Honestly, if I wasn’t 100 feet from home, exhausted, and in my early 20s I would have escalated it. Fuck that guy
Generally I’ve had okay interactions with police, but in college, my buddy drove me home from a party. We weren’t 21 yet. My friend had consumed under the legal limit for alcohol… if he were just a few months older. Instead, the state we were in had a zero-tolerance law, so my buddy got booked for a DUI off a light beer over three hours for blowing like a .002.
I got a minor in “possession” of alcohol charge, over minor in “consumption” of alcohol because there was “alcohol in my stomach” and he was able to deem it as possession. That was a more serious charge, for literally no reason.
It was really terrible. It also took police about three hours to come actually put us into a squad car because he was a motorcycle cop and there were bigger priorities. So we had to sit there in the cold.
I was sleeping, two friends were wrestling, they knocked over a bookcase, cops showed knocking at the door, friend came and woke me, I opened the door, cop grabbed me by the shirt and jerked me outside, then he walked inside, I was pissed, then as he was leaving I said something along the lines of “cool, thanks for getting the fuck out of my house”, and he arrested me, put me in his car and drove me to the station with no shoes, then told me to walk home. Guy is a piece of shit cop. waves at ukiah
I got pulled over for a couple day expired registration by a cop who ended up getting indicted for having 600 images of kiddie porn on his computer. Eff that guy.
one time I was super drunk walking around town trying to make it to the party and the police stopped me and by Weiner flopped outta my pants as I was talking to them
I was 19, it was 2002, living in Richmond VA, driving a 1987 Chevy K5 Blazer with a 350 ci v8, running strait pipes and in all of the style of the time I had an aftermarket radio with a couple 15″ subwoofers behind the backseat. Of course being a big offroader in the south it also had a small lift and I ran 33×12.50 swamper tires. This was a loud, lifted, loud truck.
Driving on 295, the right lanes are destroyed, rutty, bumpy, potholes messes, as I made my way near the 301 exit, traffic slowed then abruptly stopped, then started moving again, I hit a rough pothole but it was fine, I kept going.
About 10 minutes later I see 2 state troopers all.lot up behind, clearly pulling me over. Now I couldn’t have been speeding the truck could do 85 if pushed but I lived in the right lane causing at 60, so I pulled over.
I get yanked out of the truck, being screamed at by the trooper, cuffed, and set down on the ground.
There is a dodge neon attached to my trailer hitch. Apparantly I was rear ended and the radiator core support got lodged on my hitch ball and I’ve been dragging it for a couple miles.
The cops were very rude, very mean, and I was surely getting arrested until they realized I actually couldn’t see the car from the driver seat, couldn’t hear the horn over my engine tires and radio and finally let me go.
It was an awful experience right up until it wasn’t, and then the best part was watching the tow truck yank the neon off my hitch, that car was basically torn into two, totaled is the wrong word.
Got the absolute fuck beaten out of me by 3 or 4 cops while I was deep in psychosis. They broke several of my teeth and accused me of assaulting an officer. Nearly literally died of dehydration while I spent who knows how long in solitary confinement, maybe a week or longer?
When I turned 18, some friends and I went for a drive. One friend was a grade older but the same age as I was and one didn’t turn 18 for months. The older one, we will call him T, was driving us around and we were just listening to music and smoking cloves. I’m in the back seat and find this pikachu puppet and start messing around with it out the window. We pass a cop going the other way, he immediately spins around, kicks his lights on and pulls us over in a parking lot. The younger of us 3, we will call him S, is like, oh shit, I can’t be smoking, put this on and throws me his trench coat with his cloves in them. Whatever, I put it on.
The cop then proceeds to call for back up while standing out of his car with his gun drawn on us, telling us to keep our hands outside the vehicle. 5 or 7 more cop cars show up which is like 6-8 cops. They literally drag us out of the car, hand cuff us and separate us into the hoods of various cop cars. The cop who is interviewing me asks if I have anything in my pockets that can stab him, to which I reply, I certainly hope not…he was unamused. The other cops, we each got one holding us headfirst to the hoods, start absolutely destroying T’s car. Tearing apart his sound system, removing everything and throwing it into the parking lot and we’re just watching. After an hour, 4 of them round on me and say, “where is it?” And I’m like, “where is what?
“The drugs…” and I’m like…”what the fuck are you talking about!?” “We saw you stuff drugs into the stuffed animal.” “Oh, you mean the puppet? Yeah, that was my hand…I don’t do drugs, dare worked for me…”
They are not amused. “We saw you with drugs…” “you really didn’t…” “don’t lie to us…”. “Do you want me to not lie, or tell you there were drugs?” “Just tell us where they are, we saw you…” “are you trying to tell me you saw a person stuff drugs in a stuffed animal at 65mph, at 11pm, across the road, going the other direction?” “You got kind of an attitude on you…” “yeah, I don’t like liars..”
Something hit me in the stomach and when I looked up from my knees all the cops had their backs to me.
For the next 2 hours, they called 2 police dogs, a helicopter, and had 4 more cop cars worth of cops searching the road for the drugs, because I must have thrown them out the window.
I get hauled down to the station, where I have to take a piss test, they order an ultrasound because I probably ate them, then released me to walk my happy ass back home.
Fuck the police.
Got pulled over because I was “suspicious”, dragged out of the car, gun to my head on asphalt “if you resist I’ll fucking kill you”. This was the days before body cams. It was mistaken identity. I was really scared because I did have my CCW. I tried to ask questions but they threatened to arrest me for interfering with an investigation. That whole police department eventually got gutted by the FBI for drug dealing, stolen firearms, selling obliterated serial number guns, witness intimidation and more.
Nothing too terrible.
One time I got caught speeding (it was 5mph over the limit) on the highway. Guy pulled me over, and I said “officer, I understand I was speeding, and I don’t have an excuse for that, but I’m currently in the middle of a deployment to Iraq. I’m here for 2 weeks and I gotta go back. Can you give me some slack?”
In my head I’m like, bro, I was barely speeding. Like it’s not that big a deal on a 65 MPH highway. I understand that it’s still illegal, but I left my thing on cruise, I know I was going 70.
Anyways, he said he didn’t care and gave me a ticket despite me proving I was mid deployment.
I’ve watched cops bust in our apartment door on multiple occasions growing up. Probably ages 4-7.
Now yes, before you ask why or what she was doing, she’s an alcoholic. She would call family members on the phone and show clear signs of intoxication way beyond what would be considered appropriate. She’d also escalate situations with family or significant others while they were over.
I don’t have a problem with police keeping children safe and doing their jobs, they should have done that for me. But as the child in those situations, they were beyond forceful, abrasive and escalated the situation to a place where it didn’t need to go. We did live in an area of poverty and crime, but fuck… read the room.
Was working at a bar and was doing shift change over because I opened, I stayed after and had I couple of beers and shots like usual. The ex-husband of one of our customers walks in shit-faced, she wants nothing to do with him, he naturally doesn’t want to leave, I help the bartender throw the guy out which goes like you’d expect.
I end up on the ground with the guy out front, someone calls the cops because I didn’t realize the ex-husband had a gun sticking out the back of his pants. The cops come because they heard “two guys fighting, one with a gun,” they swarm the dark-skinned, heavily-tattooed, bearded guy, pin me down and knee the fuck of my ribs and head (in front of the bar!) and they just grabbed the other guy’s wrists to control him. The gun had apparently fallen out and was under a parked car, I never even knew he had it. I unfortunately don’t have the best past and was on probation at the time and shouldn’t have been doing any of that after sitting down drinking, so another cop nice-guy’ed me into “calling it even” and they wouldn’t run my ID so it wouldn’t flag with my PO. I never saw the two cops who got me again, but the third cop would stop by to check up on us every so often for a couple of years after that until Covid shut us down.
Good times.
The officer gave me a ticket for doing a rolling stop and it was like a $200 ticket
It was a cold and rainy night and my wife and I went to CVS to get medicine for our two sick kids. The place was PACKED, and I stayed in the car with the kids. I half-way pulled into a handicapped parking spot, but REMAINED IN THE CAR with my flashers on in case an actual handicapped person drove up and really needed the spot.
Apparently, a MIAMI-DADE Piece of Shit cop saw me and didn’t feel like cutting me ANY slack despite me being present, apologetic, and totally willing to move. This guy was the fucking WORST and was so abrasive and accusatory and brash with his flashlight that BOTH kids started to cry. I’m a fucking dad in a car with sick kids, willing to do almost anything, and this mother fucker decides to pick a fight.
My wife came out with prescriptions filled, told the cop and me to shut up, and we were off on our way.
My wife continues to be my shero, but the cop was an asshole.
Cruising north bound on I35 in central Texas, single lane, construction zone, cruise control set to the speed limit. Police officer comes up behind me with lights/sirens. I move over to the right shoulder as soon as the construction zone allowed thinking he would go around me. Pulls in behind me and writes me a ticket for fifteen over. I was two hours from home so I had to spend quite a bit of time driving back and forth to this po-dunk little town in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere to get the ticket removed from my record by taking defense driving, for a traffic offense that I didn’t even commit.
Not me, but a friend of mine followed a cop, no lights or siren down a one-way street blowing stoplights doing 60 in a 30. Got pulled over and was told he could haul his ass in to which my friend replied “but i have witnesses” the cop threatened him telling him to watch his back the next time he was at a grocery store.
That’d be a lawsuit against the store, the security guard and the company that employs her and the cops. Seriously, you could have walked away with 6 digits easily
I was like maybe 18 or 19 and was messing around with a girl in the back of my truck.
And when I say messing around we were butt ass neked and fucking.
A cop saw us and pulled up behind us with his lights on.
I don’t think I’ve ever pulled out and gotten dressed so fast. She got dressed as well.
Some important context is that I’m white and she’s black.
The cop that pulled up behind us was black.
He came over and was like blah blah blah indecent exposure. Then he saw the girl and his whole tone shifted and not in a good way.
He looked at me and said, “sit your ass on the curb and don’t move or I will take you down.” He went over to talk to the girl and they talked for a while.
Afterwards he said we’re free to go and he was gonna come back in 10 minutes and if he saw us we were getting arrested.
While driving away I asked her what they were talking about. She said basically he was asking if I was raping her or forced her.
Mind you this whole thing was her idea.
So yeah I suddenly felt like a scumbag and couldn’t understand why this cop immediately went to interracial means I was raping her.
I rolled a stop sign while doing a right hand turn and he gave me a ticket instead of a warning.
Guy pulled me over one night because he was mad I pulled up “too close” to his rear bumper at a stop light.
Not a cop but TSA. I was flying out after a business meeting and had a tie on. I removed my jacket and shoes but kept my tie on. After I stepped through the machine the TSA agent goes “Tie, TIE, we gotta tie here!”, and like 3 other agents ran over to assist.
Then I had to stand there while they slowly undid my tie like they were defusing a bomb. I kept telling them I could just take it off in 2 seconds but they told me to keep quiet and just hold still.
there’s been so many. let me think which one was the worse
