Sounds silly. I get plucking/cutting those that are visible, but waxing the others just sounds like aestheticians just want to bank on another insecurity to make more money.
I’ve never even considered that was a thing. Do people often look at each other’s nose hairs? I don’t recall ever paying attention to someone’s nose hairs.
Those hairs in your nose help filter out bigger particles like pollen etc., they have a purpose. Leave them and just trim what’s visible. Waxing nose hair is just another thing the beauty industry identified as a money source.
Those little hairs are important. They’re your little face filter.
Also I cannot imagine how much that would hurt. I had one of my nose hairs go rogue and get really long and dark so I had to pluck it. I sneezed and cried for 15 minutes.
There is no way that removing hairs has any effect on breathing, other than to make it more difficult when you inhale particles that your nasal hairs would have filtered out.
Absolutely not. Look up “danger triangle” or “triangle of death” for details, but it’s a very, very dangerous place to get an infection and waxing there would give a much greater opportunity for those infections to take place.
Nose hairs are there for a reason…. I understand trimming them if they’re spilling out everywhere like pumpkin vines but justa little snippy snip is sufficient.
When I go to get my upper lip and chin threaded, she always manages to get some nose hairs at the very opening right where nose becomes upper lip. That would be the most visible spot so I like it. I never even thought about it before I turned 50 so I think it’s an aging thing.
I pluck em just inside around the nostrils for a clean youthful look! it makes me tear but it’s satisfying! My nose hairs are long and getting a couple grey ones now! Someone once told me you can tell somebody has aged by their nostril hair!
Nope nope nope! They’re there for a reason, why would anyone want to wax them away?? For the hairs that go rogue I just press my nostril down and pluck the strays, no need to completely remove all of them.
Just trim it if it’s hanging out of your nose. The hairs are there for an important reason: catching some of the debris and dust and pollen, etc. that’s in the air.
Of course they’re going to tell you it’s common. They want to sell you the service. I have my doubts about it helping you to breathe or smell better. It seems like a ridiculous idea to me.
I have the misfortune of having nose hairs like a man in his 70s and have since a teen.
I used to just trim mine with a pair of small nail scissors. Until one day I decided to wax them.
Never again.
It wasn’t the pain. I ended up with a sinus infection that didn’t go until the hairs grew back I was on anti biotics for months. They’re there for a reason.
honestly, waxing nose hairs sounds a bit extreme to me! i get trimming them so they don’t poke out, but waxing inside the nostrils? no thanks. those hairs do help filter dust and keep things out, so i’m careful with them. if it helps with breathing and smelling better, maybe, but it’s definitely not something i’d rush to try!
Don’t do it. This can introduce harmful bacteria that can actually make you very ill. If you need to eliminate nose hairs, always trim. Never pluck or wax. Danger zone.
I read this thing once about how someone plucked their nose hair and it turned into infected ingrown thing which then morphed into some sort of brain infection?! Anyways..just trim em lol
I trim my nose hairs with little scissors. Otherwise it looks like a small forest in there and the little hairs bother the hell out of my nose, its too itchy.
I plucked them once during pollen season (I’m allergic). It was one of the bigger mistakes this year so far. I also got a mild infection which probably stems from this

I would get sensory overload if there was nothing between the air and the skin inside my nose
Sounds silly. I get plucking/cutting those that are visible, but waxing the others just sounds like aestheticians just want to bank on another insecurity to make more money.
It’s there for a reason, leave it alone!
I’ve never even considered that was a thing. Do people often look at each other’s nose hairs? I don’t recall ever paying attention to someone’s nose hairs.
Nope, pulling nose hairs out is a good way to get an infection! Trim them with a trimmer if (like me) you’ve got some big boys 😂
Those hairs in your nose help filter out bigger particles like pollen etc., they have a purpose. Leave them and just trim what’s visible. Waxing nose hair is just another thing the beauty industry identified as a money source.
you mean all nose hairs?
why would one even do that? the purpose of nose hair is your body’s natural filter against dust, Microparticles in the air etc.
I pluck them

If they’re not very visible leave them be. If they are, maybe trimmed them.
I love it! Feels good to have them not visible.
Not for me
Well I would prefer that to waxing my butt hairs

No. Just no.
There is no way that removing hairs has any effect on breathing, other than to make it more difficult when you inhale particles that your nasal hairs would have filtered out.
I had never heard of this until 36 seconds ago
Absolutely not. Look up “danger triangle” or “triangle of death” for details, but it’s a very, very dangerous place to get an infection and waxing there would give a much greater opportunity for those infections to take place.
Yikes! Just trim them if they’re bothering you. Stop putting yourself through unnecessary pain
Aren’t nose hairs like super important for filtering the air you breathe? I would just leave it be. Maybe trim the ends a bit if they stick out.
Ouch!
I actually flinched when I read the question, so no, I dont think I’ll be doing that any time soon.
If there are any visible nose hairs, I might consider trimming them, but otherwise I’ll leave them alone.
My friend did this for a bit and she was pretty much perma-sick until they grew back

I did it once. Hurts like a mf.
When I go to get my upper lip and chin threaded, she always manages to get some nose hairs at the very opening right where nose becomes upper lip. That would be the most visible spot so I like it. I never even thought about it before I turned 50 so I think it’s an aging thing.
It’s too painful if you wax it. It’s too irritating and itchy is you trim it. So leaving it alone is probably the best option.
I trim alittle bit, nose hairs serve a purpose and also pulling out can leave room for infection to set in.
No way! They serve a purpose. I never follow beauty trends anyway but if this is becoming a thing its just stupid.
Don’t pull them. Nasel passages have a direct or at least very close, connection to the brain.
While rare infections can travel, even ones that start as ingrown hairs can cause major issues if they spread and reach the brain.
I put a dab of wax barely in my nostrils and yank.
Great idea if you hate your lungs and want to have a constantly sore throat.
I pluck em just inside around the nostrils for a clean youthful look! it makes me tear but it’s satisfying! My nose hairs are long and getting a couple grey ones now! Someone once told me you can tell somebody has aged by their nostril hair!
trim. don’t wax
Nope nope nope! They’re there for a reason, why would anyone want to wax them away?? For the hairs that go rogue I just press my nostril down and pluck the strays, no need to completely remove all of them.
My eyes are watering just thinking about this
I used a nose hair trimmer once. Not a fan. Wax? No.
Just trim it if it’s hanging out of your nose. The hairs are there for an important reason: catching some of the debris and dust and pollen, etc. that’s in the air.
Sounds like you’re esthetician was trying to make a buck. Nostril waxing is purely aesthetic and holds no non-aesthetic benefits.
Personally, I would never. It sounds painful. Trim them at most.
Of course they’re going to tell you it’s common. They want to sell you the service. I have my doubts about it helping you to breathe or smell better. It seems like a ridiculous idea to me.

Why the fuck would anybody ever do that? Imagine how nice of a world we’d live in if these useless cosmetic procedures didn’t exist

I watched a lady pass out on a video from waxing both her nostrils. It was hilarious.
Much easier than plucking
I trim my nose hairs with little scissors. Otherwise it looks like a small forest in there and the little hairs bother the hell out of my nose, its too itchy.
Omg is it even possible

Never done it, but I’ve heard good things, I’m just scared of waxing anything inside my nose 😭
I plucked them once during pollen season (I’m allergic). It was one of the bigger mistakes this year so far. I also got a mild infection which probably stems from this
