Ever since I switched to menstrual cups in 2018, I haven’t had any period cramps, and as a result no trouble with working out. It’s the best personal decision I have made. Sometimes I forget I’m on my period and have to set reminders to empty the cup.
I do my very best, but sometimes, you just need to rot on the couch for a little bit.
To that end, I have always found that no matter how much I don’t want to get up and move, I always feel better after a nice hour long walk outside.
I try but I struggle. It makes me weak and clumsy so I normally just rest. Also my anxiety is really bad this cycle so I don’t think I could cope with the gym the way I’m feeling today.
I dial back the intensity, sometimes lower my weights to accommodate how I’m feeling.
Take it easy and wear good period panties
If my body feels run down on my period I’ll skip one day of the gym, but otherwise I try to go daily.
No. The most I’ve done was yoga stretches and some walking. Well I tried doing some vigorous exercising on my period and I ended up crying and shaking because of the amount of pain I ended up in.
I take the 4 days off. It’s worth it.
Depends how I’m feeling. I work a physical job, so I can’t take that off. I’ll almost always still go to jiu-jitsu. Swimming, stretching, and strengthening, I sometimes skip, though.
