I accidentally used the wrong pronoun for a friend I haven’t known that long. I apologised, they said it was okay and that they could tell it was a mistake.
Last week, to my husband. At the beginning of the month I started working, having been a stay at home mum for many years. He very kindly told me that he was feeling a bit neglected. We are working super hard, together, to figure out how to balance everything now. But he was right. I wasn’t considering him, or us I suppose, as any kind of priority. He is very reasonable and explained that he understands that I have very little left to give energy wise, he would just value a quick hug and kiss in those small quiet moments. I can be quite dismissive of physical touch, which is his love language. So I apologised and am really sorry for making him feel that way. I’m making sure I make the most of those moments where we can connect and being extra aware of not brushing him off when he initiates physical touch.
Last apologized today to my neighbor for smoking a bunch of weed in my apartment over the weekend. Promised id either sit by a window or door in future and they asked to be invited for the next one 😅
