When I turn 18 am I legally allowed to remove myself off the donator list?

r/

Hello! I’m from the location: Arizona so when I was 17 and got a new identity card my mom forced me basically to go on to the donator list because I knew that if I were to try and go against her I’ll just get yelled at later on so when I turn 18 and my mom dies am I legally allowed to remove myself from it? Cuz I’ve actually never been comfortable at the thought of when I died(or even be contacted because my blood match is someone else’s) to have my organs removed. As to me it feels like an invasion of privacy on my body regardless if it happens when I’m dead or not so am I likely allowed to remove myself from the list when my mom is gone?

Yes, at 18 you can make all your decisions for yourself. Even when your mother is still living.

Being an adult at 18 means your parents no longer have to support you, so if you think doing this will cause issues at home, you might want to have a plan for that and start making whatever steps toward independence.

Everything about your post seems so immature. Consider the possibility that as you mature you might decide its a good idea to be an organ donor.
