Where are we buying our panties from?

r/

I’m 32 and cannot find cute, affordable panties. I don’t need Victoria’s Secret level sexy, but something besides a cotton 8 pack from Walmart has to be out there.

I don’t know either. I had weight loss surgery, so I don’t fit into Torrid sizes anymore (it was my comfort store), and their underwear is really good. I have/wear Hanes right now and they’re okay, but I feel like shit for supporting them.

I used to swear by ARQ but they’ve been out of business for a while now. I hope they come back one day but in the meantime I like Parade’s undies a lot. Lots of different cuts and materials, not too pricey, and I think they hold up really well. I’ve had a few unravel on me but for a few dollars I’m not crying about it. But most have lasted me a good long time.

I can’t find anything that fits. I have a gut so every brand that I try just rolls down.

Natori, Wilde Mode, Universal Standard (not very cute, but super soft & very size inclusive), Cosabella, when they can be bothered to make my size.

Calvin Klein mostly cotton (not synthetic fibers) panties from Nordstrom Rack. Never pay full price for panties 🙌 https://www.nordstromrack.com/search?origin=keywordsearch&keyword=calvin%20klein%20panties%20women

Edit: there are definitely more affordable options, but based on my experience these panties last longer than other brands I tried so far

Most of the time I wear Victoria’s secret women’s boxer briefs. They’re high waisted like my leggings, so the waist bands hit at the same place which is more comfortable for me. They’re full coverage so they don’t cause panty lines even though I have wider hips and a bigger butt. And, oddly, even though they’re a step away from “granny panties,” they feel sexy because they fit well and are flattering. They’ve also held up well to a lot of washing. If I’m wearing pants with a lower rise, I wear VS hipsters.

La Senza had a wide variety, both cute, and comfortable.

For everyday I wear these and I LOVE them. Super breathable, not hideous, don’t feel like granny panties and they hold up well. They’re basic but they’re so comfy. https://www.target.com/p/fruit-of-the-loom-women-39-s-6pk-breathable-micro-mesh-bikini-underwear-colors-may-vary-5/-/A-77601504

There’s plenty of comfortable casual non sexy at Victoria’s Secret. That’s what I get. I’m not into lacy thongs.

Dang, I just get the 6 pack of Hanes or Fruit of the Loom.

  29. traurigaugen Avatar

Honestly? Kindred bravely. I know it is geared towards pregnancy but they’re very flattering cuts with a lace waistband and they actually hold up to regular washing and drying.

I buy the 6 packs at target

  31. emo_queer Avatar

GAP! I get the black cotton ones in different styles. They do deals sometimes too!

I like the gap body undies because they come in classic cuts and the fabric is mostly cotton
