I can’t tell if my hobbies are just ultra feminine or I don’t get out enough but I swear i never see guys my age (22) outside I’m starting to think they went extinct. I just want to know the hobbies men around the age of 22-28 partake in, specifically social hobbies.
(I didn’t notice the typo until you all so kindly pointed it out to me lmao)

Work?
Golf. I suck but great way to spend some time with friends and catch up.
The gym, or grabbing a beer with a friend. That’s about the extent of my freedom.
Gym, hiking, beach, canoeing, paddleboarding, library. It isn’t hard.
After work, I’m usually at bars and/or restaurants with coworkers until around midnight, then uber home. The next day, it repeats. And, on my weekends, I’m probably resting or just trying to do chores and run errands. It’s a busy/hectic life.
Gym or Cigar bar.
Lots of places, you just have to look for them. I am usually out on a walk/hike, at a pub/cafe or playing sports like pickleball and indoor soccer
Up until I joined the local fire department as a volunteer a month ago I hadn’t made a new guy friend since 2016ish. After college it goes south real quick unless you’re working jobs that have similar age ranges. Sales jobs tend to have younger guys. I’ve done a lot of medical work which has been predominantly women. Great for a sex life. Bad for friendships lol.
Slap on marriages, babies and working multiple jobs in this economy and finding time for bros is hard as fuck.
Bathroom.
Climbing gyms are quite social. Seems like most guys I know enjoy golfing as well.
The garage.
I go fishing. Nice and quiet, get outside and something I love. Plus “free fish”
Team sports like recreational soccer. Group activity like trekking, cycling.
Group art based like photography group outing, urban painting.
Chill with my best friend or just go for a nice walk with my headphones in. Use to be with my dog but she passed away couple years ago. So now I walk by myself sometimes to clear my mind and keep active.
Video games is a common hobby that keeps people indoors. Warhammer, reading, all that.
Could read at a cafe, run, hike, shit like that.
Karting or gym
I work and I study. I might hop on a call with my friends just to keep up while I study or do a continuing ed. When we go out it might be disc golfing or lunch. But noone spends money going out socially like you seem to be implying. I save that kind of spending for my girlfriend, or it goes in savings so she can have a ring soon or we might want a vacation or there might be an emergency.
So to sum it up we don’t. At least the groups I know. Social pressure says stay home save your cash, hope you can have everything your family deserves one day. You might catch us at a social event to catch up with friends for a bday or wtvr but going out with free time is a luxury most of us dont have these days. Some weekends we have close friends together at one of our places. We cook or might order in. Yes this is the life we live. Kudos to those who manage to fit in the gym or kids. Sheesh. Why don’t men leave the house would be a more fitting question.
My girlfriend goes out a tad more than I. Good for her. She has career she likes and I’m still working at it, beats watching netflix while I study. Maybe Ill get the freedom one day, maybe I won’t care cuz I’ll have a little one to spoil. So you see women like her. Ask them what their guys do, maybe you’ll see why they aren’t out.
My life is pretty boring to be honest. Gym before work, work then I’m at home spending time with my daughter and dogs. On the weekends I’m either working around the house or I’m on my bike with the RC.
I meet them at the gym, sports and other local events where I happen to be. Also big on relationships so getting to know the friends of my friends. Just an idea. You make 2-3 bros and then eventually you have 5-8 bros from their friends. Chill vibes definitely make it easier.
Outside
At home chilling on discord with the homies.
That age group. Gym and bars
Anywhere outside of their house?
Work, grocery shopping, putting fuel in the cars, walking the dog I didn’t want, gym
I pretty much only work, gym when I feel like it, hit balls at the range after work and play golf on weekends now. Summers coming to twilight rounds after work are in play. Most of the time I play alone because all my friends are married and some have kids and the women they’re all married to absolutely HATE golf. I can’t put more emphasis on that word hate. It’s borderline irrational at this point.
I have been seeing more and more women at the range for some reason and it’s kinda weird. Almost 20 years of playing and it used to be maybe you’d see one once in a while. My last few buckets I hit damn near half the range was women. Maybe they’ve figured it out.
Trail walking. I go walking at this nature preserve with unpaved, grass trails most days after work. Usually walk 2-3 miles.
Personally, I get taken down to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. Or I just go ride my bicycle because I want to ride my bike. Other times, I just wanna rock. Every now and then, though, I take a midnight train and go anywhere.
I really only go play dnd at my local game store or go shopping. Other that that it’s just work and home.
Skatepark!!
The gym, grocery store, ballpark.
The bar is a good start lol
At your age, I was playing pick up basketball in gyms or parks. I was going on solo hikes or with friends. Was in a slow pitch softball league in Central Park for a while, Checking out museums in the city… that’s about it. Just basketball/softball, hikes and museums/exhibits or reading at home. I never cared to be incredibly busy at all times. I don’t get bored. I love basketball and I like working out. So that’s what I do with my time. Only so much time in the day really.
23 and I go hiking a lot. I’m in school plus work gf and kid so I really only get a few hours of free time a week. Every few weeks or so I’ll sacrifice my sleep to go out and do some random shit with friends. Sometimes we go to bar/club, bowling, top golf, swimming. Just random stuff.
Dnd, but to be fair no one is out here looking for me anyways.
I’m 29 but I just did whatever felt like doing but sometimes just driving to places and see where that took me.
I like taking my daughter to the playground. Obviously I would not recommend going to the playground if you don’t have children unfortunately.
Picking a bar to be a regular at can be good, preferentially a cool cocktail bar since the clientele is better.
Those will be bar buddies though, in most cases not activity friends unless you connect on something.
I’ve found it comforting though, consistent social place and you can always have a good time shooting the shit whenever you wanna duck away from life.
Can potentially become unhealthy but that’s on you.
Outside of that though if you’re looking for male friends it’s usually going to be around an activity.
Idk. I don’t have friends other than my fiancé. I’m terrible at interacting with other humans unless it’s in a professional setting. As far as entertaining myself, I like working on my car, playing video games for a little here and there, or cleaning, I guess. I like being busy. That is part of why I have no friends. I can’t just sit and do nothing and shoot the shit for more than a few minutes at a time.
Im older but mostly sports stuff. Softball, volleyball and golf.
Jiu jitsu, i have a friend with an arcade, a long run, the local home made custard place with or without my kid
I’m in my thirties, but most of my hobbies started in my mid 20s or earlier. I enjoy the gym, muay thai, and boxing. My friend group also attends trivia nights, hikes, HEMA and a few other things.
