I would love to visit Mexico first, and after Mexico, Brazil! Many countries in Latin America are on my travel list, but I need to wait, to learn some more Spanish (and Portuguese for Brazil ;))))
I’d like to visit them all. But I know a lot of people from my country who have traveled to Brasil and loved it. I think I’d like to visit it too, but I wouldn’t know which part to go to, because I don’t know much about it.
The other ones I’m most interested in visiting are Mexico, Argentina, and Peru.
I have met a lot of colombians through my life, have being in love with one colombian girl, have made a lot of friends from there. So me visiting there is a goal.
It wont be the first because I have visited both Argentina and Uruguai, both amazing places btw. Argentina ive been there 3 times, being able to rent a car and drive myself 900 km through the Patagonia (it was one of my dream trips).
I really want to travel to Mexico as well. Mexican people are among the nicest people I have ever met.
We’ve pretty much decided on Peru and then Argentina for next year. Was going to be the world cup in the USA but not any more. Will be our first trip to South America. Planning at the moment so very excited
It’s really tough. There are at least a dozen countries I’d like to visit, some of them in Latin America.
But I don’t have the time or the money (or in Brazil’s case the language skills), so… not happening.
Maybe someday, years after I’ve moved to south America and have settled in and maybe learned a new language, the proximity will make these destinations convenient and affordable.
Ecuador 🇪🇨 has been the only country in South America I ever visited. Very beautiful county and friendly indigenous people. Would love to visit Bolivia someday
Of places I haven’t been Colombia or Mexico… Chile is sort of up there too and might beat them. I have friends/family in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina so Chile seems convenient as a side trip for the next time I visit.
If this is as a recommendation to someone else? I would recommend Peru. It’s got a lot to offer from the coast to the deserts to the Andes to the Amazon. There’s anthropological stuff like Machu Picchu and so much natural diversity. Food is great and diverse as well. Peruvians are generally warm and eager to meet and chat with foreigners. The local dialect is pretty clean for novice Spanish as a second language speakers. All around great place to dip your toes into Latin America if you haven’t been.
