Bras have many functions such as support or coverage so what is the function they have for smaller boobs?

support and coverage. i’d go braless if it wasn’t for the nips and the shape.
They are basically just expensive nipple covers for me because people get really weird about women having nipples. I remember getting lectures from my grandma about modesty because nipples made faint impressions on a t-shirt.

They technically aren’t. I’ll go without one if I’m wearing a sweatshirt or thick blouse. For other tops, they can cover your nipples and prevent them from sticking out. And provide some shape for your bust.
But I don’t wear ’em at all when I’m at home.
Support and coverage.
People get shitty when they think they can see your nipples. Bras cover them.
I’m not sure what size you have in mind when you ask about “small boobs.” Mine aren’t very large, and I can usually go without bras in the summer and when I’m not at work. Like, mine are small enough that I don’t have to deal with the back pain that more-endowed people have to deal with when they go braless. I prefer wearing a bra when at work because I feel like the bra keeps things more “under control”. Maybe it’s a mental thing, but wearing a bra makes me feel like what little I have is less likely to jiggle and attract attention–and, again, the nipples.
Because some women don’t want people stating at their nipples or the little jiggle.
taming the nips (which I ethically disagree with… let the nips nip) and comfort (the nips can be sensitive and brushing up against loose fabric can be distracting).
I say this as someone with larger boobs, who goes braless as much as possible. I’m down to one functionable underwire bra, and the rest of the time I wear sports bras or unlined bralettes.
Me personally? Literally only because my nipples are pierced and they stand out way more because of that. I choose bralettes, so no support really, just another layer of fabric between them and the world. I also likely could not do that in my current line of work, but I come from a childcare world where it felt more necessary and old habits die hard.

To hide the nipple bumps and make it appear that our boobs look more steriotypically female.
I went out without a bra the other day and so many older women gave me the nastiest looks because they could see my nipple outlines. While old men stared like horny dogs and smiled at me.
The nips lol, that’s mostly it. If I’m wearing a looser shirt where they can’t poke out I don’t wear bras at all. Never wear them when I’m at home. Even when I do wear bras, 90% of the time they’re sport bras, I literally own 2 wired bras and they get used very occasionally.
They’re not. I haven’t worn one in a decade at least. I did buy pasties to cover my nips in situations I don’t want them poking out but that’s very rarely.
They make my clothes look more streamlined.
Covering nipples maybe
To stop the discomfort of your shirt rubbing your nipples, and to stop your nipples from showing through clothing. That’s it.
I wear it because it makes me look like I have something. I’m really disproportionate with my big ass and flat chest

Friction
They’re not needed, period. Society makes women feel like the fact that they have larger breasts on average than their male counterparts makes their nipples inherently bad.
I wear a push up because my wide-set cleavage doesn’t look as good on me
Outside of aesthetics no reason for me to
Still for coverage? A lot of people dont like their nipples showing through a shirt. They can also lift the girls and make em look a little more plump.
Because sometimes it’s fun to have a fancy little secret under your clothes that only you know about. Dressing up for yourself can be a real boost!
I like the shape and added fullness that bras give.
They’re pretty, they cover the nipples because people are weird about them, and the right sports bra gives me a bit of cleavage. Although recently, I’ve started being more confident about not wearing them.
Because nipples still exist, plus unless your boobs are truly nonexistent, there’s still the issue of gravity that makes people stare just a little too long. It’s fine with a black t-shirt, but less so with light-colored flowy shirts.
Even with small boobs, bras can help with nipple coverage, shaping and keeping clothes sitting better. Not always needed but sometimes just feels nicer or more secure.
I have Bs but they are very jiggly, oblong Bs so if I don’t wear a bra they move a lot and too much of that does hurt my neck and back. Also a bra helps round everything out and It looks more proportional under my shirt to me.
Bras aren’t needed for any size boob.
They aren’t.

Not support. Coverage when you don’t want nipple bumps showing is the only real purpose. Personally, I don’t wear bras at all (I’m very petite) and I have stopped caring about showing nipple bumps. Even at work they don’t bother me about it.
Society demands that we cover our nipples because it might make the men do things
And some people just dont like their nips being seen so theres that too

Small boobies hurt when running, going down stairs, chafing on clothing, nips showing like high beams through shirts
They’re not, and I don’t wear them anymore!!
Because even itty bitty’s can sag and high beam people

Support and coverage. I’m flat but I still don’t like the feeling of them moving around too much when I’m active. I like the feeling of support. And while I support #freethenipple I prefer mine covered in some situations.
I wear them for several reasons. To hide the nips (idc if others free them but it’s not for me), give shape, and a little support. Mine are small but still need some support esp when im active. I wear bralettes and sports bras 99% of the time so they’re pretty comfortable.
nipples
My ex wore camisoles under her shirts. She had the cutest little boobs and eraser nipples.🤤
