Because it shows you the “REAL THEM” SUBCONSCIOUSLY. a.k.a their true color/skin tone. It’s the same effect when a girl who wears her hair straight 100% of the time finally shows up in her natural curly hair. It’s attractive
They aren’t. I doubt anyone would look twice at a 500lb person because of “hot tan lines”. Tan line just allows the brain to imagine the same attractive body in two colors and they can add lines that highlight what the brain already likes.
Its definitely not that tan lines are categorically attractive. Once again: The COMPOSITION (harmony) of certain features make someone beautiful/attractive.
I assume I’m in the minority on this one, but tan lines – especially exaggerated ones – are a turn-off for me. You’re ruining your skin, prematurely aging yourself, and increasing the likelihood of getting cancer later in life. Besides, the look is about as attractive as a farmer’s tan on a dude.
I’m not super on board with them but my two hypothesis are that they highlight the area, and they make it clear where the person was previously dressed that you can see now.
It’s not the tan line, it’s what the tan line represents. If you’re seeing a tan line, you’re seeing skin that is usually covered up. Something private, either a peek or a privilege depending on circumstance.
They’re suggestive. That said, I can take em or leave em. I find those exaggerated tan lines all the Brazilian women seem required to have to look dumb
The comments in this thread piss me off far more than it ever should…
The question is about TAN lines. No one gives a shit about your preference for “all white” skin or whatever.
Yes, tan lines are fucking hot. Unless your partner sunbathes naked or you live in a nudist colony, youre the only one seeing the area surrounding tan lines. If you dont find that sexy, theres something wrong with you.
Idk, but the juxtaposition of cream white privates contrasted against lobster red limbs just gets my white boy motor humming. Bonus points if she has bad, possibly racially insensitive, corn row braids from a spring break trip to Cabo!

“I’m getting to see even that the sun has never gazed upon.”
Nothing like a scoop of chocolate on vanilla ice cream
Cause you get to see “where the sun don’t shine”.
I was always one of the freaks that doesn’t find tan lines attractive
[deleted]
Why do we find sunsets pretty and dogs cute? Who knows.
It’s just a fact of life
it’s hit or miss. but for those that do like them, i’m guessing that it evokes bra/panties
It brings you eyes to the sexy bits
Are they?
They aren’t attractive to me 🤷🏻♀️

Personally I don’t find them attractive
Because you are seeing what nobody, even the Sun, hasn’t seen.
It enhances the contrast between what you’re normally willing to show and what I got to see
I am a woman.
The best reason I have ever heard (from a guy) was the following:
“It’s like all the best parts are highlighted.”
My partner hates them and I love them as a brown girlie that tans easily. He told me I look like a 80’s porn star. In a bad way.
Men who don’t like tan lines, why?
I love how tan lines LOOK, but I hate how tanned women’s skin FEELS – it’s rougher and drier.
A pale chick with smooth and soft skin > sexy tan lines, but skin dry as paper.
As a man, I have no fucking clue why either, but for some scientific reason they make me feel some type of way

They aren’t. Just another woman fuelled expectation they pile on each other. Men dgaf, they’re just happy you’re naked.
You get the privilege to see what the sun hasn’t seen.
They act as highlighters for the hidden parts.
I’ve never found them attractive, don’t recall ever hearing anyone I know liking them either
Personally I’ve never found them attractive at all.
Nudity.
They’re not
They aren’t, at least not to me.
I’m not sure tbh, but I love em. The obvious fake spray tan ones ain’t it tho
They arent
Yeah, why? I don’t even think they look good.
I don’t like tan lines on women and this is the first I’m hearing of people liking them outside of that weird Brazilian craze for them.
For me, it is like if they still had a sexy bikini on but with direct access. It show how sexy they are with and without the outfit. 🤩
Nah
I don’t find them attractive. I have never heard a man say they found them attractive.
They aren’t.
I’m not super on board with them but my two hypothesis are that they highlight the area, and they make it clear where the person was previously dressed that you can see now.
Hehe underwear shape, but no underwear!!
I find them unattractive tbh. Especially when they’re really visible.
I think it’s the feeling of visiting “a secret place” when you cross the tan line
They are like elbows to me.
They aren’t attractive or unattractive, they are just there.
I don’t
Ava addam tan lines 🤤
Hot is hot, dunno why just is.
Who said they are lol

They enhance the sensation of seeing something that was (is supposed to be) covered up.
No, they are not.
I pretty much dislike them
I think mostly women perceive them as attractive to men, my experience, most men don’t care.
What? I always found it trashy.
They aren’t.
They are more attractive to women themselves, lol, same as septum rings (I hate those)
Because it highlights curves and areas that are usually rather hidden.
Eh, not a fan really
All over tan is better
Idk, but the juxtaposition of cream white privates contrasted against lobster red limbs just gets my white boy motor humming. Bonus points if she has bad, possibly racially insensitive, corn row braids from a spring break trip to Cabo!
Not really.
They’re just as attractive as the woman who has them. Like clothes or hairstyles.
Personally? Not to me.
They aren’t…
Idt Asians appreciate tan lines as much as other regions of the world
They are not.
