My boyfriend and I have been trying to have sex for a while now. We’ve made several attempts (around 3–4 times), but for some reason, his penis just won’t go in. We do lots of foreplay, use plenty of lubricant, and he also tries with his fingers first. I can insert tampons or even 2 fingers with no problem at all. He’s definitely hard, and his penis is an average size, but penetration just doesn’t happen.
For context, I’m a virgin, while he has sexual experience from a previous relationship. I honestly feel relaxed during our attempts. I don’t feel nervous or tensed up, but it still doesn’t work.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be something physical, or is there something we’re overlooking? Any advice would be appreciated.
