Why didn’t I ever feel any semen after sex — is that common for women?

r/

Hi, I’m a woman in my 30s. In a long-term marriage where we never used condoms, I realised that I never actually felt or noticed any semen after intercourse — no leaking, no post-sex wetness, no physical signs of ejaculation inside me.

I’ve read that many women experience some degree of fluid leakage or internal sensation after their partner ejaculates inside them. But for me, there was nothing ever. It was only once I saw some amount that I wiped the next morning.

My vagina usually is dry as well, I feel discharge coming out only during ovulation. Also, his volume has been in the range of 1.5 – 2 mL across the 4 tests he went for fertility.

Is it within the normal range for a woman to never feel anything? Or is there usually some physical sign we notice if ejaculation happens internally or externally?

We were not into oral sex to check this otherwise.

No idea. Talk to your OBGYN

Are you suspecting that your partner is faking it?

I have always felt leakage after, yeah.

Well, it has to go somewhere. Have you given him oral to completion? That would be a good way to determine how much fluid to expect from his ejaculation.

In my experience, ejaculate has many forms. Some more fluid, some more gel-like, and some even more gel-like that exits in clumps rather than seepage. If you partner is a “clump” guy, the majority of it will exit when you go to pee after sex.

This is just my experience. If you’re worried that your partner is somehow hiding some thing from you or “faking it” for some reason, try oral or a hand job to completion to see “what comes out” and follow the mystery from there.

Are we absolutely sure he’s not faking orgasm? I’ve never not been able to feel cum leak out after a man finishes inside me. This is strange.

Has he seen a doctor, or does he have any concerns? I’ve always felt leaking afterward.

Hmm, hard to believe a man alive is not into oral…
I know that sounds childish but if you’re offering him oral sex and he’s like no thanks I think that adds to the possibility he isn’t 💦.

Possibly having E.d. type issues and doesn’t want to own up to it?

Have you ever given him a handjob? Grab some lube and see what comes out. I’ve had lots of partners and there’s always been leakage if we’re not using condoms or at least a bit inside of a condom or on me or where ever he cums.

I would suspect he might be “pre-gaming” earlier in the day, either out of habit or in order to last longer.

Do you happen to know how long his refractory period is? I would cross check that against how many times he has “fired too soon”.

If he is able to cum more than once in 4-8 hours… and he had ever cum too quick in a row… he took some guy’s advice to see Rosie Palmer before game day.

Personally, I cant always tell until I stand up. And usually it’s over the toilet postsex pee.

My body no longer produces semen. It’s a side effect of Finasteride (Rx).
