Fr fr, it’s usually cuz confident ppl can unknowingly trigger others insecurities. Like, if someone’s still figuring themselves out, a person who walks in owning their space might feel “too much” to them.
Usually people who describe themselves as “confident” have a lack of self awareness. Most likely the “confident” person did something to offend others, doesn’t realize it, and declares the other people must not like them because of how confident they are.

I think some people dislike confident individuals because it makes them feel insecure, jealous, or inferior.
They might feel threatened by that person because of their own low self esteem.

There’s a thin line between confidence and arrogance. People often mistake the former for the latter.

I see lots of dumbass’s walk into a room and make themselves look and sound dumb. Then it’s just being cocky.
