It’s called living. You pass on society to the next generation. Life today is much better than 100 years ago. Because that knowledge was passed down and then added to.
Because capitalism dictates that one can amass immense wealth at the expense of many others as long as they have the stomach to do it… And so the rest of us are enslaved by the system and the wealthy who upkeep the system…
Everybody plays the game of life to distract themselves from nothingness. Some are lucky in some sense to be dealt a good hand, which makes it easier to keep playing. But they do realize it to.
We all work hard so our children will have a better life and for the future to be better. Remember, life a long time ago is a lot rougher than today. Always trying to improve for future generations. Our children will grow up and do the same, and so will our children’s children. Hopefully, the future will get better and better. Sometimes, we will make mistakes, falter, and fail, but we will strive on to make a better difference in this world.
If we die no matter what, why not enjoy the small things? Yea we have to work and suffering is sadly part of the human experience but so is joy. The rides eventually going to end so I’m going to have as much fun and make as many friends as I can before it’s over.
Life exists to advance entropy. It degrades energy, runs things down sooner. That being that case you’re fulfilling your function or purpose all the time. Besides that you’re free (depending on the society you’re born into)
The government controls so much. Humans arent meant to suffer THIS much. The system has over run our freedom to really enjoy true happiness in this lifetime. This may not be true for all, but for the majority, it is.
Because the human species is programmed that way, why do you think governments are pushing people to have families at a time when more people are deciding not to have children ⌠so it continues
I like living and working. Life always includes some suffering but to me that’s only a small part of it and the most it does is make me appreciate life even more.Â
Pain and suffering is the point of life. Learn to lean into discomfort and youâll at least start to gain peace. Nobody was promised a happy care free life. Thatâs not how this works or the point of it at all
Because Elon and his ilk would prefer that they have more money and more power and in order to do that they exploit the rest of us. This is even in the very obvious numbers we have over these types of people.
They are super good at propaganda though and not so big on education so collectively we all suffer because a significant number of us are happy to simply not educate ourselves.
It’s probably one of the reasons why religion was invented. Almost all religions have rewards for being a productive member of society. That the work and suffering will be rewarding in an eternal afterlife or a better next life.
This isnât a special question, itâs been asked for centuries, books have been written about it, poems have been written on it, and in 1991 after a millennia of research had been conducted across the globe one cowboy arrived at the answer
Life is a blank slate. The only givens are birth and death. What you do between those are up to you.
With that being said, life is also about random and luck. A lot of life is outside your control. You don’t control if you’re born to a rich loving family anymore than you are born to the poorest of the poor in a 3rd world country.
Life may be wonderful. Life may be horrible. Life can change over time. It’s the ultimate unknown.
Because they are experiences â fulfilling, wonderful, painful, horrible, enlightening, times to feel close to one another, times to feel alone, times to understand and times to be confused. Life is territory to be covered – to appreciate feel and be open enough to try and understand. In my view, the goal is to help someone when you are up and be open to help when youâre down. At best we have 100 years a feeling and experiencing until one day we wonât – no experiences, no feeling and yet somehow at peaceâŚfor eternity.
Itâs about the journey not the destination. Whatâs the purpose of eating if it all turns to shit anyway? Because it tastes good and the shit can become fertilizer for other things to grow.Â

I mean, whats the alternative? Just go lie down and die now?
Because what else are you going to do đ¤ˇââď¸ If we don’t work are quality of life will go down
Because we leave behind memories and/or creations, making progress towards the goal of a better life for all humans.
If you don’t believe in god(an abrahmic one) then yeah life is useless,an atheist should just be absurdist to enjoy life or chose religion.

One who is born will die..đ
You are here to enjoy the journey..
and share your point of view of your journey..
You are contributing in this endless creationâŚ
I mean, Iâm gonna die anyway, right? Might as well do something fun while I can.
Not all living is suffering. There’s lots of fun things to do, people to connect with.

That is my mindset before, I realize the world is beautiful to explore.
how do you know you don’t wake up from a simulated dream and they ask, HOW WAS IT
the struggle was real, without the struggle you wouldnt know the relief
Life is what you make of it.
Why watch a movie if the movie is just over once the credits roll?
Because you can enjoy it while itâs playing. Same with life. There doesnât need to be more than that.
Do you enjoy watching movies even though you know movies don’t last forever?

Richard Dawkins said our genes are behind the wheel. It has intentions that aren’t related to our happiness.
Even if it all ends, the moments in between still matter-and those are the ones that make life worth living.
A great meal, laughing with someone, music that hits just right. It’s not all amazing, but those little moments kind of make it worth it, right?
To love others and God

“What is the purpose of life? To be the eyes and ears and conscience of the Creator of the Universe, you fool.” Kurt Vonnegut, Sirens of Titan
The point is to experience life, and hopefully grow and learn.
Capitalism is a hell of a drug.
I like living and working. Life always includes some suffering but to me that’s only a small part of it and the most it does is make me appreciate life even more.Â
Yes I agree we live to just to die in the end but the things we do in between matters.
For the experiences? What a strange question. The alternative is just to not exist?
There is a lot of beauty, joy and community to be found. It’s not all suffering.
You donât have to suffer
I like pizza. I want to eat more of it
Pain and suffering is the point of life. Learn to lean into discomfort and youâll at least start to gain peace. Nobody was promised a happy care free life. Thatâs not how this works or the point of it at all
This is unfortunately the world weâve been born to. As Mr. James Brown sang, âIf you donât work, you donât eat.â
In the states, capitalism with religion mixed in.

Because Adam sinned.
As a result we eat from the sweat of our brow & return to the dust of which we came.
Because to live is to suffer. Itâs what gives your life meaning, and ultimately, what will bring you happiness.

Working as a nurse taught me that life isn’t about the destination.
What else did you have in mind?
Oh itâs a lot worse than suffering and most deaths are long and brutal so donât down play the reality

Life isn’t all “work and suffer”. There are a lot of great things too. Focus on them, not the negatives.

Iv’e been asking myself the same thing all my life.
The meantime.
