As an European I’m just wondering a bit, why is it that you are so determined to “get” Greenland, “whatever it takes”?
You are alienating your allies in the process, and for what really? If it’s for security reasons, I’m sure you can build some new bases and station som more troops if that is what you want.

Heck, even JD Vance (his VP) was recently reported as not understanding Trump’s obsession, though he apparently only expresses his confusion in private.

Nobody in the USA except Donald J. Trump and the idiots who passionately follow him actually want Greenland. We’re all perfectly fine with Denmark owning it, or it becoming an independent nation, or whatever situation the people who live in Greenland want.
We don’t know why he wants it. He’s Looney Tunes.
I hear Greenland was named such because it was mostly ice, and the namers wanted to confuse their enemies. It seems to have also confused our current president.
We don’t, we have no idea why the administration is obsessed with it. The vast majority of us want the administration to leave our allies alone and stop ruining our long standing friendships.
