Wouldn’t zero make more sense to start at?
I assumed it’s because you upvote yourself by default.
So that every post/comment counts as 1 Karma at the very least, even if nobody upvotes it.
It does start at zero,1 is your own upvote.
I always thought they assumed that if you took the time to post something, then that’s equivalent to you upvoting it yourself.
You can revoke your own upvote and make it zero. Bold move cotton, let’s see how this plays out
