Why is something on Amazon SO cheap??

r/

So I won’t go into details as to what I’m “shopping” for, but there’s a few “lines” of products that are all hundreds of dollars. Yet 1 or 2 of them are priced at a couple bucks. Is this a scam? Or is it a mispricing error that can be taken advantage of?

Amazon hates it when you find that trick. Why didn’t anyone tell you before?

Usually it’s 3rd party scam accounts. Check the seller, is it a nonsensical name of random characters out of China? Safest way to shop Amazon is to make sure it’s sold by and delivered by Amazon.

It could be a scam it could be a price mistake. Remember Amazon the website is also a market place with 3rd party sellers. Before you buy something, look at the sellers name. Look for sold by Amazon or sold by “big named company”

    This goes same with Walmart.com

Once in awhile Amazon will mess up a price. I bought a Sony A6000 camera worth around $550 for only $100 once.

Amazon is full of scams. It’s not even the low priced items that are scams. Luckily they have a generous return process, as long as your account is in good standing and doesn’t have a suspiciously high return rate. So as long as you make sure you’re actually getting what you paid for, and it works, then it shouldn’t be a problem.
