I like the idea of it, but can’t stand the feeling of it actually on my face.
I do like seeing how other people can use it artistically.

EDIT: Folks, the comments and swarm of DMs are kind, but I’m not looking for advice on wearing makeup. It’s been 2 decades of trial-and-error and trying different kinds, makeup just is not for me. Thank you.
I think it’s good to have a healthy relationship when it comes to make up. Being able to live without it. Some days I wear make up some days I don’t and that’s okay. Lately I’ve been liking the under painting technique
I love mascara & maybe a little natural eyeshadow but everything else I go without. I started wearing makeup when I was 11 because I thought I was ugly buts it’s all just a trap to steal money from you using your own young self conscious against you .
its fun. people who hate doing it are probably doing natural looks and should try doing colors and artsy shit before they set down the makeup brush for good imo
I despise its existence. Beauty standards are so out of touch with what normal people look like and makeup enables a further divide between reality and ideals. It’s sad that many women don’t feel complete without it. And sad that it is expected out of women on the regular to be “put together.” Further it’s not great to have longterm exposure to makeup with all its poorly regular chemicals. Sigh 😔.
I am really, really terrible at makeup and I wish I could do it. I really want to be someone who is good at it and always looks nice. I have practised but I never got past the awkward teen stage. In fact, most teens today are experts compared to me. I’m very jealous of women who get it!!
When you’re not forced to wear makeup it’s a form of creative expression and the downsides are manageable/worth it.
When you’re forced to wear makeup it causes break outs which can be very painful and worse if you don’t consent to that (which is this case). Expensive too
A little can go a long way. Sometimes it’s better to find the specific makeup products to get you where you want to go instead of going straight for full face/full glam.
I don’t use it myself because I don’t know how to and it wouldn’t matter even if I did cause I’m a sweaty Betty, however, I am fascinated by it and it’s so different from when I was a teenager. Back then it was a one step process now it’s like they put on 10 layers Just for the “natural look“ I love to watch it, though cause these young women and men are so talented.
I love it now. When I was younger, I would use it to enhance my looks and started feeling insecure without it so it wasn’t really fun. Now I use it kind of as a form of play, like a kid might want their face painting at a party. I like glitter and colour. I feel fine being seen without it but the process of “painting my face” and picking out my colours and glitters is a fun little moment for myself some days.
I wish I was better at it. I’m grateful to PMU because now that I have PMU eyebrows, I finally have reached a point that I am willing to go out without makeup on for the first time since I was 10 years old. I enjoy wearing makeup, but I’m okay not wearing it now that I have brows (I have almost zero brow hair from overplucking when I was younger, they never grew back and what little hair I have is blonde). I own far, far more than I will ever really wear now though.
I love it. It’s a relaxing part of my morning routine and I feel like a small way to be a bit creative like I’m painting. I think it’s fun to see what different colours and finishes do to enhance your look. I don’t feel like I necessarily “need” it, but I do feel more put together when I do.
I like it, but that’s because I do it for myself and not because I’m expected or required to. I really love going all out with eyeshadow and such as part of a whole outfit.
If I had to do it every day for work or something, instead of only whenever I felt like it, I’d probably hate doing it.
Like clothing it can be many things. A grooming tool, a protective mask, an expression of personality, a bit of fun. For me personally, I can’t be bothered with it most of the time these days. But I like to wear it occasionally, if I’m going somewhere.
makeup just doesn’t excite me like it used to and tbf i always feel it makes me look “uglier” Skincare and mascara, im feeling confident and good to go 🫶🏻
I like seeing other people do really cool and colorful and creative looks, but I don’t understand feeling the need to wear it daily. I personally don’t like to wear it, it makes me feel more artificial and like I don’t look like myself.
I really like watching the tutorial videos because there’s really something transformative and creative about makeup. I enjoy the artistry.
But I don’t care to wear that much myself and in the past I’ve only done basic stuff like foundation and a little color. Lately though I’ve been going through a really bad depressive episode so I’ve pretty much given up on makeup all together.
I love it. my favorite activity is going out with my friends in group cosplay to do random shit like go to the movies or side quests. We recently did a group cosplay of the amazing world of gumball (i was forced to be gumball) and doing the cat makeup was fun (blue face paint would’ve been fun but I don’t have any).
I never found it to be a patriarchal thing that “i have to be pretty or thr world will end !!” I like playing in my makeup to be Sailor Venus with my friends to go ice skating or Bonnie to see the FNAF movie
I have acne (I was late to puberty acne and when she hit, she never left), Im 30 now with acne like a teenager 😒. My face has acne marks and is slightly oily skin, make up feels 🤢on my face so I don’t paint my face as much. But the occasional indulgence has always given me a compliment or two in public ☺️ 😊 so I do enjoy it. But then after I take it off I get more break outs. So yeah the vicious cycle goes on! 😂
I personally never liked it. I felt like a doll with no real natural features when I had it on and couldn’t stand my face without it. That was at age 17. I stopped using it then. The last time I had makeup on was for my wedding and I hardly recognized myself in the mirror.
What’s bothering me most is the close-up when I had make-up on.
Every single hair is visible in your face and it looks too spackled for me. From 6 feet away it looks great though.
I do wear mascara and I have to say natural faces are way more interesting than a perfect face.
I love it, but I often don’t have the need for it. The people in my life are used to me with a bare face, so I really only put it on for important or fancy events. (or going out on the town haha)
I grew up with actual magazines laying around for reading pleasure. Redbook, Marie Claire, Glamor, all of them.
I also grew up with Southern women with Southern roots and a few Chicago people. The standard was pretty, and be as pretty as possible. My family is also lucky to have good genes and facial features and structures. We’re pretty.
So make-up is a thing. I wear makeup almost everyday. Nothing wild it takes 10 whole minutes to buff it on. Little this, little that, something nourishing on the lips.
I’m not doing to to feel better about anything. I’m a secure happy person. But it’s just a part of who I am. In my mind women are pretty and smell really nice. And should present well.
I have a great system and because I’ve been wearing makeup for around 30 years. I don’t feel it. It feels like nothing.
Not a fan. It feels gross and I have better things to do than spend time putting it on. I’m sure some of the chemicals in it aren’t healthy either. If some people enjoy it as an art form, fine. Having a societal expectation for every woman to wear it, no thanks.
It’s cool whether or not someone wears it. I’ve worn makeup a few times(and when I say a few times, I literally mean less than ten times). I’m not a fan of it because of the whole process of putting it on and taking it off. Taking it off is more annoying though, at least for me it is.
I wear makeup maybe once or twice a month. Hell, I literally only do something with my hair like once or twice a month and it’s usually the same days I throw makeup on.
I was pressured by my family to wear it because I usually don’t have any products. But I like the way it looks on other women sometimes, other times I feel they make them look worse
I think that any person has the right to use it. Man or woman, if they wanna feel good by creating art using their face, hell yeah! Go for it!
Personally, I wear very minimal makeup, due to overstimulation and heat issues. I don’t like the feeling of foundation and things like that, but I’ll occasionally wear a tinted moisturizer/primer, do my eyebrows, mascara, and a lip stain with a plumper on top, hit beyond that, my face doesn’t like the feeling lol 😂
I love seeing people wear makeup and feel good about themselves, or using makeup to make really pretty pictures or SFX type stuff!
I am very critical of it. I think make up is an oppressive tool that upholds gender roles and ultimately does nothing but fill the pockets of mostly male-run companies that prey on women’s insecurities. I stopped wearing it completely a few years ago and I think more women should decide to say fuck it to all that and save their money and sleep in a bit longer.
Not a fan. The most you’ll get me to wear is some lipstick a couple times a year.
That said, my mom was a Mary Kay Top Consultant before I was born, and my youngest daughter has near-professional ability as a makeup artist. (I guess it skips a generation?)
I admire the artistic skill it takes to do it… I just don’t have the time, patience, energy, allocation of funds, or desire to partake.
It’s meh. Everything in moderation. It’s expensive and so wasteful honestly but if it makes people happen then so be it. I have it for special occasions but I barely know what I’m doing.
I used to love it. I stopped wearing it during the pandemic bc I was always in a mask (I’m a nurse) and I never went back to wearing it. In hindsight, it really dried my skin out.
I wear it when I have the spoons, and I simply haven’t left 2010s Effy Stonem indie sleaze. Even if I’m using bold colours, I’m still doing it in ‘that style’ lol
And I’m showing my age by how I turn my nose up at Gen Z styles (particularly the over-blush where you make your whole face look flushed, with the “Gen Z nose”). I also hated the Kardashian Clone look, where everything was mattified and enlarged.
So I will full well admit I’m a hypocrite; I despise mainstream trends whilst clinging desperately to my counterculture soft-grunge look LOL
In general I enjoy it, but I only wear/do makeup that I actually enjoy. Like I hate full coverage foundation, heavy or elaborate eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner so I just don’t wear those. I’m more of a light coverage tinted moisturizer, mascara, cream brush and lip oil type. I prefer to feel and look like myself in makeup instead of wearing something that makes me look like a completely different person.
I like the way it makes me look when I use it but I don’t like that my skin is sensitive to it and I will break out the next day even with a face cleansing routine.
I love it, but I can’t do it. I don’t like it on my face; it usually burns a little; and I only have ‘80s-level skills, so it doesn’t look right. I watch makeup influencers like crazy, though. It’s an art I can’t master, but I appreciate it when it’s done well.
Can’t stand foundation. I mostly wear the rest for me, to experiment with how I look, though sometimes I wear it because I don’t want certain people in my life to tell me how “tired” I look or something. Sometimes I want to wear it but I don’t because I know I’ll be too tired to take it off at the end of the night and I care about my skin’s health way more.
I love it, but my makeup tends to lean artistic. I don’t do it every day. I’ll do a full face maybe a few times a month. Other than that, if I go to work I sometimes do some mascara and blush and tinted lip balm. I’m more focused on skincare now. I do believe that if you use it every day, it can mess with your self perception. I don’t think it’s healthy to feel the need to put on a full face just to run to the grocery store.
I was raised being told “everyone needs makeup” so…I wear it, still doesn’t feel like enough most days. However I am unbothered whether other people wear it.
I don’t wear it anymore, but here are my thoughts: I don’t understand why there are now 14 steps before you start applying the makeup that is supposed to show- the blush, eyeshadow, etc. I don’t understand finishing spray. Is it wet? Is it like hairspray for your face? Does it get on your mouth and taste bad?
It’s fun to play with, and when I do wear it (not really often, maybe once every two weeks except for a tinted lip balm or gloss or something regularly) I feel nice and expressive. I think it’s healthy to be able to still feel confident without makeup, though. I won’t judge those who feel the need to put it on just to go to the store, some people just enjoy feeling “done up” in public, which is fine. It becomes an issue if they freak out if they can’t wear it outside the house, because that’s a clear negative impact on their life and those around them.
Makeup overall is just a fun way to express oneself! I enjoy playing with different colours and techniques.
I used to find it so much fun in my younger years when I frequently had nights out. Now I’m a 35 year old mother I feel less is more and I’m definitely way more reserved in my application and products. But I still enjoy it in a sense. At the same time I hate it because the reason I use it is to “Make myself look better”. And I realise that this is a toxic mindset blamed mostly on the media I and the majority of women in the world have consumed since being tiny girls. The mindset that we should always look our best for those around us (more often than not in the eyes of men) no matter the detriment to our own self esteem. The ever rising beauty standards that me must meet to be acceptable in the eyes of others. And oh has this type of media done a number on my self esteem!
I like make-up, I wear it. I have learned to shop for my real self. I have also learned that I need to commit to removing it. I don’t care what other people do with it except sometimes admiring somebody else’s technique if I see them in person. I find make up influencers very boring but I understand the appeal – there’s stuff I follow that’s boring to other people.
I very much dislike people with strong opinions on what other people should do or not do about their own make up.
I like it. The ritual of putting it on in the morning, the fun of trying new products/techniques, and the little boost of confidence. When I need to feel strong, I spend extra time applying it, kinda like it’s war paint.
Though I’ll admit my approach to makeup has changed throughout the years. When I was in high school, I wore heavy foundation to hide acne. Now that I’ve (mostly) outgrown it, I’m fine walking around bare-faced.
I love wearing it occasionally! I really like mascara. I think the stuff other people do with makeup is magic and beautiful and gorgeous I just can’t be bothered really.
I like makeup on other people. I have never liked the texture or the feeling of makeup on me. But I will watch countless skincare videos because it’s relaxing.
I don’t wear any. I don’t like how it feels, how much money and time it takes, and I just didn’t have the skin for makeup for a long time, still don’t really.
I loveeee watching makeup artists. I follow so many on Instagram and have since early IG days. They are so creative. I wish I could wear makeup, but I’m lazy and I just don’t have great skin or the skill to be happy with the results.
I like makeup and for a special occasion I might do something special that takes longer, but on a daily I’m doing ultralight makeup that takes less than 5 minutes.
When women don’t feel comfortable leaving the house without it, won’t let their partner see them without it, etc. I think that’s unhealthy and kind of sad. But it can be fun too and I like trying different styles
I love makeup. I want all the makeup. I HATE WEARING IT!!! It feels so smothering and sticky and gross, I am uncomfortable all day. Not to mention, I feel less pretty wearing anything more than mascara+concealer+blush. I look at myself and it’s just too unnatural. I should mention that I’m in the beauty industry and I have education in application and I’m skilled with makeup. I just hate wearing it 😣
Doesn’t stop me from buying something I’m curious about, it just gets added to a museum of cosmetics! So sad.
Seeing other makeup artists execute it flawlessly with such unique applications is fun!
Seeing my reflection look like a child got into her mothers drawer is not.
I love it tbh. I find a lot of joy in the process of applying it. I love my natural face just as much as I love my made up face. I just think it’s fun, similar to playing dress-up!
Once in a while, I’ll put it on for a nice occasion, but I can’t be bothered to do it on the daily. I also think it’s bullshit that it’s so often expected of women (especially in office settings) while no one ever expects men to wear makeup.
That being said, I do appreciate makeup artists who can put together incredible looks. I have no artistic talent so I’m always impressed by that.
Honestly I think it seeps all kinds of cancerous stuff into your bloodstream. Even a lot of skincare stuff too. I dont think 99% should go on your body.
I put on my eyebrows though because mine are invisible. Lately I’ve been dying them instead with henna tho
I don’t care about make-up and only wear it for special occasions. The other days you gotta deal with me not wearing any, because I don’t feel like spending a lot of time daily wearing make-up. Too much of an effort. 😅
New make up is nuts lol. Why’s everyone gluing their eyebrows upward and wearing Steve Harvey’s mustache on their eyelids? And what’s with all the cakey layers of goo (foundations and concealers and whatever the hell their glopping) all over the face?
Normal, minimal, natural makeup is awesome though. It totally doesn’t hurt to go a little extra for events ofc.
Part of me hates it and that it’s an expectation to wear it to look “put together.” Down with the patriarchy and whoever deemed my natural face to be socially unacceptable! “Are you tired?” “No, this is just my face, Brad.”
But I do appreciate the artistry and creativity behind it, when it’s a choice. Due to social norms, a lot of times it doesn’t feel like a choice.
I love it. It’s fun to enhance my natural features, face and eye shape, and eye color. However I also really like my natural complexion without makeup. So I put it on or not depending on my mood. Makeup is great if I know there will be pictures. I always look sallow in pictures. I think it’s a slippery slope if you can’t feel complete without your face done up, but everyone is different and it’s up to the individual.
I like it but I can no longer wear it due to having dry eye disease. I can’t find any makeup brands that are compatible. I wore makeup to my eye exam and my doctor commented on how much makeup was in my eyes and it made me think. This crap is not worth the suffering anymore.
I have a love-hate relationship with it. I love how i look naturally and i love how i learned to use makeup to enhance my features. I hate how i don’t feel confident enough to go out without it. I hate how it hides my exhausted skin. Whenever i go out without face makeup everyone at work asks if i am sick lol.
I don’t think it should be a standard for female beauty. People these days are starting to look like hunger games elite bc of insecurity instead of embracing their natural beauty
Makeup is an art form! It drives me crazy though how I had so much more energy to do my makeup and look fancy when I was a teenager. As an adult with a kid, a job, and just stress in general it’s hard for it to feel worth it anymore. Anytime I do get the chance or occasion to do my makeup it always makes me happy.
Love makeup, but hate the expectation of getting dolled up every day. I have transitioned to using makeup as a special occasion thing and I enjoy it more than ever
I love it, although I’m not personally a daily wearer, and when I do wear it I like to use skincare-infused formulations.
I guess I was lucky that I got into the-behind-the-scenes side of theater at a young age and by the time I was personally interested in wearing it most of the makeup influencers were MUAs doing artsy fantasy looks and complex SFX. I went into it seeing makeup as a unisex art tool and the face and body as extended canvases. I also got to see at lot of medical adjacent applications of it since childhood, from vitiligo-staining body pigment, to skin putty to smooth over burns, to scar and hyperpigmentation coverage, so I’m just happy there’s options for people to feel confident and special.
I like it but I could understand why it might be a hassle. Live and let live I say. I like looking like myself, but there are certain things that I think make me look a bit more put together, like eyeliner and concealer.
Make-up is FUN! I’ve never felt like I HAD to wear full, face-sculpting make-up so it’s never been an uncomfortable mask on my face or a burden I had to comply with. Everytime I apply make-up I regress to being seven years old again, having fun painting my face! I never use foundation (itchy, hot, unkind to my skin). Nowdays I skip mascara, too. (Since COVID did a number on my lashes, brows and headhair, as well as ALL of my body hair) I wear it when I remember to do so, and it always gives me a mood boost.
If I were a man, I’d probably wear eyeliner.
I enjoy seeing the various ways that women choose to make-up their eyes, and most are fine artists. Two things I loathe though are “spider eyes” (mascara blobbed and unseparated), and false eyelashes that are too thick and too long … If you can tell they’re fake, they’re too much.
Love it. Wish I had more time to play with it earlier in my life. It takes a lot of skill to make wrinkly, saggy skin look good. Would have been such a breeze on my 30-year old skin.
No mind. I am who I am now, so I accept the challenge.
In general I love the way it’s used in so many different ways for self expression. Personally I don’t wear it though. I just prefer the way my face looks naturally, and any make up feels wrong on me.
I think it’s nice in theory, but I can’t stand most of it. I tried wearing some for a social experiment and ended up learning more about myself than I did about people.
Today, all I do is chapstick for my dry lips and a little perfume to smell pretty.
Fun in theory, but hate that it’s become mandatory for women to use makeup to make their normal selves look different or be torn to shreds over looking diseased by males
I love watching people put it on and admire the skills of people that wear it but I can feel every molecule of it on my face when I wear it so it’s not for me.
I don’t think much about it at all. I can’t be bothered to use it the vast majority of the time and don’t feel pressure to do so anyway, and I’m not interested in makeup, so it’s just not very relevant to my life. If some other women are into it and want to wear it though, great. Everyone can do as they wish with their body.
It’s nice and a lot of work so I only tend to wear it on occasion. It’s also quite expensive. Women who can wear I constantly, I don’t know how you do it, but you look amazing and wish I could do the same.
I enjoy using makeup. Not every day, but when I’m going out in public. I also like getting my hair colored (right now it’s gray with dark blue underneath). I enjoy straightening my hair. I like getting manicures with hard gels (nails). I look at Pinterest for ideas so I can “change it up 😅”. I sometimes get my brows/lip waxed (I usually pluck though).
Do I look better? IDK but I like “feeling” pretty.
BTW “kinda not important but also very important”:
I am in my mid 50’s and have multiple sclerosis. I don’t know how long I will be able to continue to have the physical ability or coordination for makeup.
So for just going to “keep calm & carry on” as I enjoy make up.
I hate make up. I hate that it’s a waste of time to put on, it’s irritating to wear, and it’s a smaller part of a big problem, aka, beauty standards for women.
know your limits but have fun! i didn’t start using makeup until highschool and it was only mascara for a while. eventually i started doing full-face, birthday beat makeup to school bc that was “the thing” to do😭 it was all WAY too much for my sensitive skin and i basically ruined my skin barrier. i’ve finally found a simple skincare routine that’s shown progress in healing my flare ups, and that’s helped me be more comfortable being bare face! now i just spot conceal, and focus on having a lot of fun with glitter or liner on the eyes, they are the window to the soul!
I like it on other people but I have no desire to wear it myself.
I have often been told by female classmates and coworkers that if I wore makeup I would be like drop dead gorgeous but I just can’t get myself to wear it. It’s like a certain food I just can’t stand. I also save so much money by not wearing makeup and most people guess me to be around 16 -18 years old despite me being almost 23 years old.
What I have witnessed in terms of social interactions with other women: other women don’t seem to see me as competition. When I am with a female colleague or stranger that I just met and they happen to have a crush on a dude, they ask me for help as a sort of gateway. Which means I have to go up to the dude, talk to him (Which is not hard for me because I have 3 brothers) and them introduce them to the girls who asked me for help.
I’m quite fair and every time I don’t wear makeup, especially if I also have glasses on rather than contacts, people ask if I am sick or tired. I’m over it. Why can’t my features just be normal? It’s like because I don’t have perfectly shaped dark eyebrows and lashes I’m instantly ugly. Ffs.
So I feel pretty bitter about makeup because I only get complimented when I’m wearing it and vice versa. I wish I could just go without and feel confident but I probably never will without mascara and eyebrows filled in. Thank God my lips have a natural pink tint.
It’s fun sometimes or for some events, but it’s not something to think about every day. I don’t like how it feels on my face or eyes, I prefer bare skin – on everyone. I don’t like those flakes of makeup I see on everyone, and I never want that on my skin. I really enjoy splashing some cold water on my face when I am sleepy or just to refresh. I feel sad that most women are missing out on that feeling 😄
It’s a huge business feeding and profiting from women’s insecurities. I find it unreasonable that women have to wear it while men are beautiful just as they are. I don’t think anyone has to wear it, only those who want and enjoy it. But when not wearing makeup makes women stressed, that’s a mental problem that needs to be worked on, and has nothing to do with makeup.
And then time: I’d rather read a good book, than waste my time on a perfect eye line. Who gives a fuck. And knowledge – that makes life a lot more fun 😊
I love makeup a lot. Just looking at the small tubes and color palettes gives me a rush lol. It’s my guilty pleasure. I don’t like wearing a lot though.
I like it. But also feel like makeup industry is highly focused how to extract money from women. I mean the price for a lipstick or just a makeup removal liquid are so high. And this industry is also leading to over consumption the products are not even fully used when they are expired.
Do we really need all pink shades, all brown shades?? No we don’t. Companies put out attractive advertising’s and promotional ads so much of option we don’t even need
Makeup is to make up your face, to enhance your natural features and minimize your flaws. I use it minimally for regular use and somewhat full flegded for occasions.
But I see many people use makeup to transform the person into entirely a new one, changing their perceived features, skin tone etc… Unless its for something creative, its the way to use makeup.

I like the idea of it, but can’t stand the feeling of it actually on my face.

To each her own. For me, I hate doing it and am basically done wearing makeup except for moisturizer or tinted moisturizer and an eyelash curler.
I think it’s good to have a healthy relationship when it comes to make up. Being able to live without it. Some days I wear make up some days I don’t and that’s okay. Lately I’ve been liking the under painting technique
I hate it. I need it, but I hate it.
I will wear it for weddings or other required events but otherwise cannot be bothered.
I don’t use it at all cause it feels sticky but I don’t care what other people do
I think it’s fun putting colours on your face. It’s fun when it enhances your features.
I love mascara & maybe a little natural eyeshadow but everything else I go without. I started wearing makeup when I was 11 because I thought I was ugly buts it’s all just a trap to steal money from you using your own young self conscious against you .
It’s useful to enhance my appearance and cover up blemishes and such. Nothing beyond that is necessary imo, though each to their own.
its fun. people who hate doing it are probably doing natural looks and should try doing colors and artsy shit before they set down the makeup brush for good imo
Hate it. I’m all about skincare.
Make up occasionally, but I’m mostly natural.

It’s fun. It’s art. Blending eye shadow gives me dopamine
I look way better with it on (not in like a I’m-socially-brainwashed way like just objectively.) soooo i love it
I wear it on occasion for fun. I don’t wear it 90% of the time. I admire people who are super skilled at it!
Edited to add: men
I love it now.
I wear make-up during the work week. Otherwise, I choose not to any other time unless I am going out.
If you look after your skin, like wear sun screen and do skin resurfacing treatments, you don’t need as much make-up.
I think it’s fun to play with, though I wear it less as I get older (omg the prep required). I love seeing cool makeup on other people, too.
I like it, but that’s because I do it for myself and not because I’m expected or required to. I really love going all out with eyeshadow and such as part of a whole outfit.
If I had to do it every day for work or something, instead of only whenever I felt like it, I’d probably hate doing it.
Inconvenient and annoying for me to use. But I enjoy seeing it on others!
Like clothing it can be many things. A grooming tool, a protective mask, an expression of personality, a bit of fun. For me personally, I can’t be bothered with it most of the time these days. But I like to wear it occasionally, if I’m going somewhere.
I love it but I never wear it. It’s so much fun but too much work to wear on average.
I love seeing other people wear it, I cannot be bothered with it & really don’t know how to apply it.
I have more important things to do, like spend time with my animals, enjoying my alone time, gardening etc.
Only use it on special occasions and you’ll look young for a long time
Love it. Helps me feel more put together and ready for the day.
makeup just doesn’t excite me like it used to and tbf i always feel it makes me look “uglier” Skincare and mascara, im feeling confident and good to go 🫶🏻
I think anyone who wants to wear it should do so, and anyone who doesn’t want to wear it should not.
I like makeup. I wear it nearly every day
I like seeing other people do really cool and colorful and creative looks, but I don’t understand feeling the need to wear it daily. I personally don’t like to wear it, it makes me feel more artificial and like I don’t look like myself.
Makeup is fun until it becomes an obligation
I really like watching the tutorial videos because there’s really something transformative and creative about makeup. I enjoy the artistry.
But I don’t care to wear that much myself and in the past I’ve only done basic stuff like foundation and a little color. Lately though I’ve been going through a really bad depressive episode so I’ve pretty much given up on makeup all together.
I like doing it but I think I weirdly look better without it, but maybe that’s a sign that im just not very good at it lol
I love it. We get to decorate and redesign our faces with shapes and colors whenever we please? Way too cool. Makeup is the best!
I love it. my favorite activity is going out with my friends in group cosplay to do random shit like go to the movies or side quests.
Not into it. Never liked it. Hate how it feels.
I like it. Enhances me
It’s cool, my daughter is an absolute artist, she considers it a hobby and her face is her canvas.
I haven’t worn makeup in years, I love everything in between our extremes.
I love it. It’s one of my top hobbies.
I don’t wear any. I have no problem with my face.
I love it !
But I don’t wear foundation , that thing just doesn’t work for me.
I’m more the one to embrace eyeshadows and intense lipstick colors.
That being said , I miss the time where I could find blue , intense violet , green lipsticks.
It was really cool.
I love it, but I often don’t have the need for it. The people in my life are used to me with a bare face, so I really only put it on for important or fancy events. (or going out on the town haha)
People who use it right are amazing personally I’m too much of a right ass and can’t be bothered the effort
Love it. Don’t always enjoy doing it
It’s cool whether or not someone wears it. I’ve worn makeup a few times(and when I say a few times, I literally mean less than ten times). I’m not a fan of it because of the whole process of putting it on and taking it off. Taking it off is more annoying though, at least for me it is.
It’s needed for certain occasions. But everyone needs different types, brands, and amounts
Hate it but with my face it is necessary…
I’m personally too lazy to wear it most of the time, but it is nice to highlight your natural features.
I love it, is so fun and makes me look amazing or sweet or just not like life is winning me.
I love artistic and glam make up
It’s physically uncomfortable and not worth it when I can’t even see my own face that I’m making look nice.
I used to love it. I stopped wearing it during the pandemic bc I was always in a mask (I’m a nurse) and I never went back to wearing it. In hindsight, it really dried my skin out.
I basically hate it but on days when i sense a need to mask i wear it
I don’t like it very much, but it’s nice to use it when I feel I wanna look different than my usual self. I use it once a month, maybe.
I’m not a fan of it.
Used to hate it for political reasons now I just think it’s housekeeping in high events or when you wanna feel sxy
I hate wearing it but love seeing others wear it.
Love it. Love to wear it. Super versatile and fun.
I love it! I recently got back into it and my confidence has skyrocketed! Idk why I stopped wearing it in the first place!
I prefer to not mess with it. Having hair takes long enough. And I’m thinking of cutting all that off.
I used to wear tons of it my whole life but now that I’m old I could care less because I’m invisible and no one notices me anymore
I’m grateful for it🤣
Concealer, blush, powder and eyeliner are my must have, basics. Can’t do liquid foundation. Hate the feel of it.
When women don’t feel comfortable leaving the house without it, won’t let their partner see them without it, etc. I think that’s unhealthy and kind of sad. But it can be fun too and I like trying different styles
I think it’s outdated. When I see women in lots of makeup, I kinda think I probably wouldn’t like them as friends 😬
Luv makeup

It’s a fun little art form that I like to play with. I hate that I can’t ever recreate the same look but it means I can create new ones
Love it. It’s a way I express myself.
It makes my face feel itchy and dirty. I like how I look when someone else does it but I hate the way it feels.
It’s fun and I like how I look with it on. I like all the different formulas and textures.
Honestly I think it seeps all kinds of cancerous stuff into your bloodstream. Even a lot of skincare stuff too. I dont think 99% should go on your body.
I put on my eyebrows though because mine are invisible. Lately I’ve been dying them instead with henna tho
I wish other women wearing it didn’t affect how men treat my bare face.
I don’t care about make-up and only wear it for special occasions. The other days you gotta deal with me not wearing any, because I don’t feel like spending a lot of time daily wearing make-up. Too much of an effort. 😅
I like it when I want to wear it, which isn’t usually.
It can look great on other people.
It’s just not for me, and I’m happy with that!
I have no interest in it and therefore don’t own any.
I’ve always worn it but when I turned 50 my eyes went to sh*t and I can’t see detail well. It makes it very difficult to do eye makeup, unfortunately.
Feels gross on my skin. I can’t even put eye liner on as it makes the area darker, like I aged more woth darker bags under my eyes.

It’s fun, but it’s not necessary.
Hate it, gave up wearing it in my late 30s
LOVE it! Love applying and playing with colors and various looks! Makes me feel feminine and pretty! As I always say, it brings me joy.

It’s a waste of money
I don’t wear much of it or often. Honestly, I don’t really know how. But I enjoy seeing it well done on others.

I dont like nor use it personally
I love makeup! I wear it daily and do it professionally (mortician)
I think it’s nice in theory, but I can’t stand most of it. I tried wearing some for a social experiment and ended up learning more about myself than I did about people.
Today, all I do is chapstick for my dry lips and a little perfume to smell pretty.
It makes me feel like a circus clown
Fun in theory, but hate that it’s become mandatory for women to use makeup to make their normal selves look different or be torn to shreds over looking diseased by males
I love watching people put it on and admire the skills of people that wear it but I can feel every molecule of it on my face when I wear it so it’s not for me.
I’m neutral. It can be very pretty and just so creative.
Too lazy to really bother with it, though.
I love it on other people, especially if it’s super artistic. On me? I don’t like it.
I think it’s poison. Women put it on for no good reason. Waste of money, time, and it’s an environmental horror show.
I don’t want to waste time putting skin color on my skin when I already have skin colored skin…
And the skin colored foundation makes my skin feel like… not skin
I wear it once every two years on a special occasion, I don’t like that it means I can’t touch my face however I want
love to see how others use it though
i like makeup, i rarely go out without my eyeliner wings since the late 90’s lol
It’s nice and a lot of work so I only tend to wear it on occasion. It’s also quite expensive. Women who can wear I constantly, I don’t know how you do it, but you look amazing and wish I could do the same.
It’s fun, but not something I wear daily.
Generally negative opinion. I hate the concept of wearing makeup for anything other than self expression. Things like concealer make me sad.
I hate it
Never use it.
I’m allergic to some ingredients so I don’t run the risk
[removed]

Hate the stuff. It’s a waste of time and money.
I don’t like too much makeup.
I hate it
I think it’s great when it helps others to express creativity or feel good about themselves.
I don’t wear it for myself unless it’s for special events like weddings.
