Would warming a dildo make you orgasm faster?

r/

If you were to warm up a dildo with hot water or in a microwave for a short amount of time would it make you cum faster as it could feel more like the real thin?

    Never microwave sex toys.

    Never use water above 55c.

Dildos may contain silicone but aren’t made of silicone alone – most contain PVC and other compounds as well to make them softer and more realistic. Editing to add per one comment: a few are safe to boil, if they say so on the box.

PVC melts in high temperatures and is definitely not microwave safe. You risk ruining your dildo, poisoning yourself, or severe burns. Just don’t.

Put a bowl with the warmest water your tap lets out that won’t burn your skin, put the dildo in it for a few minutes. Take it out and see that it isn’t too warm and have fun.

It will feel much nicer. Same tip applies to Fleshlights.

Do not use boiling water. Do not microwave.

    Cordially yours,
    Former sex toy industrial designer.

Edit to add: many people think that boiling a dildo in a pot is a good way to disinfect it. It is not, for the same above reasons. Never boil your sex toys. Did I mention you shouldn’t boil them? Because you shouldn’t. Don’t use chemicals either. Even alcohol isn’t always a good idea. Even if you stole a homeless meth addict’s butt plug – soapy water, a good scrub, natural air-drying and some time-out for any surviving bacteria and viruses is the best you can do.

As an example… we microwave old fishing lures, liquefy them, to make new ones… don’t put your bestie in there!

Don’t know about warming them up but some store them in a fridge to orgasm faster(?)

I’ve run mine under warm water before and it’s sooo much better, but microwave sounds sketchy af lol.
I actually prefer warming lube instead of heating the toy, feels safer and still gives that heat.

Be careful tho, some materials don’t handle heat well and you don’t wanna burn yourself.

I have one that is self warming and I don’t find it makes a difference personally

Don’t put it into the microwave. Put warm water from the tap in a bowl and put the toy in for a little while. That should make it more than warm enough. Be careful

Water only; microwaves can cause the release of harmful chemicals.

Yes, warmth is really nice, but it doesn’t last long enough!

Get a glass one, leave it in warm water for a about 10 mins, enjoy.

I feel like female sex toys are way more accepted then males lol

It’s enough of a thing they sell dildos with heaters in them.

Maybe, but the time it takes to warm it would offset the decrease in time to orgasm, cancelling each other out. Either way, your orgasm is taking place at the same moment in time

No. If it doesn’t vibrate with the intention of clit stimulation, I won’t orgasm. I can’t orgasm from penetration alone.

There are sex toys that have a heating feature. “Wild secrets” on Adam and Eve has a heating feature

Short term pleasure and long term sufferings. choose wisely

Sometimes for me. Mostly why I use a hot pack around mines before I begin.

Don’t ever put plastic that wasn’t made to be microwaved in a microwave. Also, don’t use water that would hurt your skin, remember that your insides are way more delicate and sensitive than your skin.
