Basically the title. My job is a suck on my mental health. It’s stressful, there’s no organization, and I don’t have any benefits like insurance or 401k either. The only real upside is they don’t care about anything so I can show up late and take long lunches whenever.
I received a new job offer but it’s $4 less an hour and double the commute, but has full benefits. I feel like I might be trading one stress for another which is commute and barely making enough to cover my monthly expenses.
On one hand I keep telling myself something better will come along but on the other I’m like I’ve been looking for months and not even an interview beside this one that’s given me an offer.
I hate this.

Do it !
I already did. My old teaching job paid way more. But I was burnt out pretty bad. New job pays less but I feel like what I’m doing matters to the students I teach now. It’s very different, and I love it.
OP, your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Depending on the commute and the drop in pay, I personally would do it.
I’ve traded lower wages for less stress twice now.
I’ve lost like 400usd off my paycheck now, but, im actually a bit happier and deal with a lot less stress.
Yes, I would. MH affects your quality of life more than money does, so long as you can still get by.
