Yeah I’m not wiping out the human race. Being really generous I’ve probably spoken to 10,000 people in my life. That’s an extinction event.
I don’t see why anybody would take this.
Especially creepy would be the few foreign friends that I’ve talked to. Their entire country is gone and they are left alone.

Ok so, I’ve barely interacted with people, especially on a BILLIONS OF PEOPLE scale.
However, what does ‘everything you ever could materially want’. If it’s more just minerals and raw resources, almost 100% screwed, alternatively if it was more a ‘snap my fingers and instantly create a mansion’ it’s sort of possible to bring all the survivors together, at least ones in a small vicinity.
Do we consider ‘Wi-Fi’ and radio signals ‘material’? Might help spread the message faster.
TLDR: world is screwed, but maybe like 5% of the survivors get to be happy, lol
