You shouldn’t shame actors for acting just because they aren’t celebrities, or actors in general

r/

This mainly relates to new actors who are just starting, or male actors (which I am, not the best, but decent i would say) I’m a 15M and whenever people found out i can act they have a look on the face, the judgemental kind “You act?” and then I’m immediately labelled “actor boy” personally I don’t care, even though I do a lot more stuff than just act, I play sports as well, I’m in a band, I don’t care however because acting is probably one of my favourite things ever, but doesn’t mean you should still do it.

They shame people for acting, when they consume media with actors in it every single day, yet they won’t say it about a celebrity? I understand if they shame someone for being bad at acting, e.g. people with no experience at all, but shaming someone purely for liking to act is completely stupid.
