So, I won tickets in a radio contest to see James Blunt last Friday. I liked the venue more than I liked the artist, and after Friday, suffice to say, I like the artist.
James Blunt is talented and I was pleasantly surprised that he actually had 2 hours worth of hits to perform, but to me, he’s still a one-hit wonder from 20 years ago.
Anyways. about his only song he’s known for, “You’re Beautiful,”
He’s on a subway stalking someone else’s girlfriend while he’s high.
It’s not romantic, it’s kind of creepy.

That’s not an unpopular opinion. That’s literally the point of the song lol. James blunt himself has told people that they’re fucked up if they think it’s romantic.
You say that from the perspective of someone who read the lyrics, beginning to end. Most people just hear lines here and there and then feel whatever they feel from a song based on those incomplete parts.
Meh he fancied a girl from afar and did nothing creepy about it. No harm no foul.
So you understood the message. Most people don’t, congratulations.
I mean, he says as much. All of this, in fact.
